Harper HR no. 12 tonight, unfortunately it was against San Franciscos' great young pitcher Madison Bumgarner who only gave up the 1 run to the Nationals and didn't lose the game.

Bumgarner quietly having another good year without getting much run support. He's 4-2, 2.89 ERA.

Harper is, unbelievably enough, on the DL now because he fouled a ball off his knee. You read that correctly. During my baseball days as a youth, I had this happen more than once, and saw others do it frequently. Never did a single kid or teen have to leave the game, let alone miss a bunch of time, because of this very minor issue.

The Nationals are imploding. What looked to be a potential dynasty, full of young white stars, is struggling to play .500 ball. Steven Strausberg is out yet again. Good thing they rested him during the playoffs, huh? He is incredibly fragile, and I'm being kind in using that term. Several other white players have missed time for the Natonals, and as a result we are seeing an influx of black/latino players. Shocking. And we had such high hopes....

Harper's swing is compared favorably to Babe Ruth's in this article. Bryce is hitting .303 with 10 HR in just 35 games so far this season.

A Swing of Beauty

Harper had a pretty good night, going 3-4, 3 RBI and got his 20th HR, while raising his average to a respectable .285. Let's hope he can finish strong and get ready for a monster year in 2014, without the interruption of another injury.

Harper returned to the Nationals lineup after missing 57 games with a torn ligament in his left thumb; going 1-3, with an RBI and scoring a run.

I wish Ovechkin had Harpers balls in regards to calling out the coaching staff.

Since coming off the DL there hasn't been much to say about Harper, however he did hit his 1st HR last night since coming back from his thumb injury. Only is second HR of the year.

Hoping he becomes what was predicted about him. Another tremendous white talent!

Harper 3 for 4 last night with another HR! AVG. up to .260. Maybe he's starting to heat up.

(Former mediocre MLB SS), ******* Royce Clayton goes on a tirade about how Bryce Harper is overrated, but they're sure to praise a couple of fellow ******, particularly Denard Span that took over in CF on the Nationals and forced Harper to move positions. Notice how the negro host nods in approval and coaches Clayton along. You can see the sheer contempt for white players.

Harper hit his 3rd post season HR yesterday, before turning 22. That's second all time behind Mantle, Cabrera, and A. Jones. (4).

Harper brought all five tools to yesterday's game. He was amazing on defense and really should be playing center field. It seems like Matt Williams was jerking him around this year by batting him 6th, occasionally sitting him against lefties, or healthy scratch. The manager, along with his injury, caused him to have a statistically subpar season. His whole career he's been moved around the lineup, anywhere from 2nd to 6th, and playing different outfield positions. A guy like Harper you put him in center field and make him your 3 or 4 hitter, and play him every day.

Maybe Bryce Harper is ready to become all he was predicted to be. He hit 2 more HR's tonight, 9 and 10 and 3 hits and 5 RBI's!

Harper is the youngest player in MLB history to hit 5 HR's in 2 games.

It would be great to see him rival Trout's accomplishments in the NL!

Harper's really putting it all together now. It's easy to forget he's still only 22 and one of the youngest players in the majors. I just heard a statistic that Harper is the youngest player to have this high of a walk rate since the legendary Ted Williams.

Harper is so locked in right now it'll be interesting to see how many more homeruns he can club in the next few games....

It seemed like new manager Matt Williams was screwing with Harper last year, moving him all around the lineup, and mostly batting 6th, and benching him for various reasons. This year he's the clear cut cleanup hitter and it should be epic.

Bryce is still just a pup at 22. Great to see how well he's doing, hope he realizes his superstar potential this season.

Over the last 4 games, Harper has been unworldly. He's gone 10 for 16 with 6 homeruns and 13 runs batted in.

Most of the homeruns have been absolute bombs as well. Let's see if he can continue the magic with a 3 game road trip to Arizona, a well known hitter's park.

Yes and his BA. has skyrocketed from .245 to an even .300!

He leads the league in HR's 11

2nd in SLG% .655
2nd in Runs 26
3rd in TB's 72

Bryce Harper continuing his torrid hitting, going 3/4 today with a HR, Triple and 4 RBI's and 3 runs scored!

He now leads the NL in HR's, RBI's, Runs, OPS, OBP, SLG%, WAR and BB's and all the while his BA. has climbed to .338; 5th in the league!

A Triple Crown threat? I would love to see it!

I don't think I've ever seen anything like this in my 20+ years of watching baseball. Harper has absolutely assaulted the league and opposing pitchers over the last 11 games. I wonder how long he can keep this up?
