Yessir great catch! He's now tied for the league lead in stolen bases with 21! However, he's only hit 7 HR's this season so far. On pace for just 18 for the season. Not sure what's going on with his power. BA, OBP, and SLG have all dropped significantly from last season. It's still early. Hopefully he picks it up soon.
 
21 stolen bases isn’t too shabby, hoping he goes on a power stretch in June and July !
 
He and Crow-Armstrong are tied for second in SBs and are both top ten in WAR.
 
Witt Jr just hit his 100th home run last night. That with the 142 stolen bases he has puts him in elite company after 4 years in the bigs. Only three other players were able to be over 100 in both categories after their first 4 years.
 
Bobby Witt now becomes the first Royal to ever have two 17 game hitting streaks in the same season.

He is hitting .298 with 19 HRs and 74 RBIs. He also has 34 stolen bases and is 4th overall in WAR. After Judge, the next 3 are Crow-Armstrong, Skenes, and then Witt. Seager, Skubal, Raleigh, and Crochet are also in the top 10.
 
Bobby Witt, Jr is an absolute stud, franchise player. There’s only one George Brett, but if the Royals can pay him, he could be the next gen franchise player.

Witt Jr. is currently under an 11 year $288,777.777 million contract. However, it has an opt-outs that could extend the deal to $377,777 million. Although that's quite a bit of money, it's considered a bargain based on what superstars are paid these days.
For example, Juan Soto who is not the player Witt Jr. is signed a 15 year $765,000,000 million contract.
