I am certainly NOT knocking the Scottish race.

Take the opinions of university historians for what they're worth. The vast majority are leftists. Also, please don't confuse democracy with a constitutional republic, which is what we are supposed to be. Remember, democracy is mob rule. The majority could vote to confiscate the wealth of the minority, or even worse.

Bonnie Blue, I found the information about Jackson at a Scottish historical site. My intent wasn' t to comment on Democracy. Jackson was an amazing character.

When the War of 1812 broke out, he had already helped to author the Tennessee Constitution, served as a representative to Congress and as a Tennessee supreme court judge. Volunteering with 2,500 men, he was made the Commander and Chief of the Tennessee militia. By 1814, he was a major general and put in command of the Department of the South.
He was captured by the English in the closing years of the Revolution. When he refused to clean the boots of an English officer, he was slashed across the face and arm by a saber. About that time, his mother and two brothers died as direct and indirect casualties of war.
He nursed a lifelong bitterness toward the English which showed up in later incidents. He repulsed the enemy at Mobile, took Pensacola by storm and then marched to New Orleans, where he fortified the city against the English. His victory of January 8, 1815, made Jackson the hero of the nation and propelled him into the White House.

You asked some good questions at the start of the thread. One thing I would like to point out is that boxing was desegregated by the 1920s. For many years whites have been competing and winning against blacks. I too believe there are some genetic reasons for the recent black dominance. But the fact that whites from the former Soviet bloc are starting to dominate leads me to believe there are some socioeconomic reasons as well.
Indeed, I think an asteric needs to be put by the records of guys like Ali, Joe Louis, Tyson and Leonard. After all, they did not have to compete against the best of the Soviet bloc.

You know something I notice...probably the most important physical advantages of black boxers are never cited by the Sailers and Entines of the world. Why are longer arms, thicker skulls, smaller, harder-to-damage brains, and thicker flesh on the face never cited? This surely is more of an inherent advantage than the laugable assertion that Whites are completely outmoded in terms of speed, or the power (In which Whites probably actually hold the edge.) I guess it's too P.C. even for the "un-PC Writers tou touch."

posted is because that possibly leads them smack dab into the realm of
congitive differences between the race, and that is verboten when it
comes to blacks. Of course, whites have some physical advantages too,
but they are downplayed or ignored, all part of the "conditioning
process".
By the way, I had made an earlier post regarding a Mexican trainer telling
me why he thought Mexicans were the best boxers, and a follow up post
asked why he believed this. He felt they had heart no matter who they
were fighting, even againtst the "mallates" (pronounced may-ya-tays, a
derogatory term for blacks in Spanish, they consider it worse than the "n"
word, heh). He felt too many white guys were in some sort of awe of
blacks, while the Mexicans wanted to go in and punish them. I don't
think Mexicans are the best boxers, but they do have quite an attitude
