Of course I would love to see Canelo pull this off. But he is a 160 pounder who killed himself to make 154. Making him go down to 152 was smart as the cut will likely drain Canelo. Going down in weight is always harder than going up.

Has Mayweather ever been buzzed, let alone hurt, in a fight? Along with everything else he appears to have a great chin. I agree that Canelo looked shockingly thin at the weigh-in. This is such a huge jump in class for him. In spite of this and the odds we're hoping he's a man of destiny.

But now he has the kiss of death, a Teddy Atlas win prediction, going against him.

I'm trying to figure out how he got so canelo. Maybe a Civil War deserter ancestor of Irish descent? His father looks like a Spaniard, and there's a red-headed strain there, especially in the north. Canelo's eyes are more typically Mexican, though. Very Indio.

Whatever the case, Saul is still stone Mexican. And proud of it. He'll fight his heart out for his fans and whatever the outcome is that's all that can be asked of him.

Does anyone know about what time Garcia-Matthysse is? I plan on taking a nap and setting my alarm clock for about 10 pm. Is that too late?

Most people think Mayweather got a gift against Castillo in 2002. A washed up De la Hoya gave him all he could handle in 2007. I recall thinking Oscar might have won it before the scorecards were announced.

Floyd should have a loss on his record for the first Castillo fight but since he's black he got a gift decision. I can't say he's not a great fighter but he's overrated. He's a defensive minded fighter, all white guys with his style are called boring. That's just the double standard.

Here is another thing black fighters always get away with. They are never accused of juicing. How can an almost 50 year old Popkins compete with guys 30 years younger. It's bull****. He's using steroids or HGH, why hasn't anyone mentioned this? I guess when you are black they just assume it's great genes.

Hopkins must be on PEDs at his age. It is not that anyone has questioned it, it is that those who contract with him to fight do not demand rigorous testing. If Hopkins' prospective opponents did demand testing, they wouldn't become signed opponents. And they wouldn't make the money they'd have made by fighting him as he is. Hopkins will pay for it though. He is deceiving and poisoning his own body.

No fighter can fight like that at 48 without PED's. Look at Vitali Klitschko. He's 42 and he has slowed down considerably which is to be expected because of his age. He's still head and shoulders better than all the heavyweight fighters but I almost want to see him retire now. There is nothing left for him to prove and he's getting injured more and more often.

The fights are supposed to start at 9PM ET/6PM PT. I heard that the main event will probably start 3 hours later - that would be midnight ET/9PM PT, but who knows. One thing is fairly sure, if I start watching these things on time I'll need to sit through 3 boring hours of trayvons bouncing around...but on the other hand if I tune in just 2 minutes late I'll miss a spectacular KO in the first minute. Murphy's Law.

To tell you the truth I'm much more interested in the heavyweights, but all the hype makes this one kind of interesting.

I'm at the bar right now with some friends, posting from my mobile phone.

Just wanted to say I have a good feeling for Canelo before the fight tonight, it feels like tonight is a time for a changing of the guard. Hopefully youth will beat experience tonight. Let's go Canelo!!! We're rooting for you :)

Thanks buddy, but they are showing all 4 fights here at the bar and I have a perfect view.

Just hoping that Canelo can pull it off tonight!

No cover. Most bars in Toronto don't charge cover, only nightclubs or dancing clubs do past a certain hour.

I'm with some friends just enjoying a meal and a few beers. A nice time ;)

The fight which just passed was a young Mexican guy named Pablo Cano, he won a decision over a Negro named Ashley Theophane. Good fight, very exciting. The mexican landed some amazing right hands and to be honest I'm surprised the Negro wasn't knocked out, he took a beating. I was impressed with the Mexican, he fought a great fight!

Now, the Ishe Smith VS Carlos Molina fight is on in round 4. Next up is Garcia VS Matthysse then Canelo VS Floyd.

No cover charge here. I was supposed to go to the local sports bar but I changed my mind because I didn't want to hang around for this junk.
WW, I am home watching it on PPV. I avoid the riff raft at bars nowadays.

Smith vs Molina right now.

Garcia vs Matthyses next

Mayweather vs Alvarez

In between fights Michael Strahan and Peter Quinlan were being interviewed judging by the dress of "Kid Chocolate" I thought he was Strahan's gay lover.....:scared:

Credit to Garcia for fighting much better than I thought he would.
Garcia is without a doubt a pound for pound member in the top 10 after this win. There isn't a paper top 10 guy who can beat him, Only the elite around 147 that can beat him. I guess we have a few more fights of crazy press conferences and post fight interviews with his Drexel like father...

I had the fight with Lucas winning by 3 pts at least. Canelo will have to KO Floyd or knock him down 3 times. Lucas was hosed. But credit to Garcia to withstanding the onslaught and making Lucas pay sort of.

I can't help but notice Mayweather has arrived with the circus. What a clown.
Canelo arrives with class whereas the negro makes a spectacle of himself with his entourage.
