And I'm pretty sure these percentage are even lower than years past do to blacks declining interest in the game. When the biggest stars are perennially minorities, it's gonna reflect that way in the all-star voting.
13 of the 21 guys in the 500 home run club are are black or hispanic (and they've only been playing in the major leagues for half as long as whites. 4 of the 5 active players in striking distance are black or hispanic.
