Don Wassall said:Here's the first crack in the carefully constructed media image of Peterson. What he did was still Boy Scout stuff compared to so many others in the NFL, but still, going 54 miles over the speed limit shows some real potential for more serious screw-ups to come, especially when Boy Wonder says he "needs to be more aware of the speed I was going." Ya think?

<div>Vikings star running back Adrian Peterson could lose his driver`s license after police clocked him driving at 109 mph -- nearly twice the posted speed limit -- on a suburban Minneapolis highway last weekend. </div>

Peterson told The Associated Press on Thursday that he "got a little speeding ticket. I need to be more aware of the speed I was going and not let it happen again."
Peterson was pulled over just before 8:30 p.m. Saturday while driving his BMW in a 55-mph zone on state Highway 62 -- a normally busy stretch of road known as the Crosstown that connects Minneapolis with southern and western suburbs, Edina police spokeswoman Molly Anderson said. She said Peterson was given a citation and allowed to drive away after what appeared to be a "very routine" traffic stop.

Needless to say, AP is safe from the long arm of the law.
...And still just gets off with a speeding ticket. In my impetuous youth, I was pulled over by a local gendarme for 104 MPH, was cited for reckless driving, and had to have my roommate bail me out of jail! But, then again, I wasn't a black superstar running back for the local team of worship. The Hock said:I read the article. He was clocked at 109 MPH. Says he didn't realize he was going that fast.

bigunreal said:whiteathlete33- Yes, I'm sure I read it was his third time caught this year going over 100 mph. Now while that would mean a long, long license suspension for the non-NFL world, I doubt very seriously that any part of our injustice system will permit AP to have his license taken away.
Athletes have been getting away with this kind of stuff for years. I recall an incident several years ago, involving then-NFL RB Terry Allen, who had just been caught after leading police on a three state high speed chase at speeds of up to 135 mph. In a matter of fact way, the story in the local newspaper noted that Allen had been arrested SEVEN times for drunk driving while in college. Think about that. No uproar from MADD. Apparently he never had his license taken. And, of course, he received absolutely no real punishment for leading police on a high speed chase through three states while drunk. Then Redskin G.M. Charlie Casserly spoke for all officialdom when he expressed his relief that Allen wasn't hurt. No concern about innocent bystanders.
EVERY celebrity is completely above the law.
http://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2014/09/12/adrian-peterson-indicted-for-child-abuse/ posted this in athlete crime section, adrian peterson indicted for child abuse. The kid is 4 and got hit with a tree branch?
so much for manifestdestiny's hope haha
It's like the old Chris Rock routine, where a black guy brags about supporting his family, and Rock says, "That's wtf you're supposed to do, what do you want, an f'in medal?"
We already had our Tiki Barber tribute thread here a couple of years ago. It went over like a lead balloon. A black athlete who isn't firing guns orbeating his girlfriend isn't worthy of praise for not being a criminal. Besides, the number of black athletes glorified because of their character who later were arrested for one serious crime or another is long and ever growing.
Yes, a Peterson child murdered a year ago was born of a mud shark. The killer was a asian(surprising). Peterson's current girlfriend is an attractive black girl. Like I said on a another thread, if the injuries are severe (most likely), Peterson is in a world of hurt. The good thing about this is hopefully Line will get his chance to excel, cause Peterson will most likely not be allowed to play until a not guilty verdict. Its hard to plea bargain crimes against children. Peterson, like he was caught pissing outside of a Mickey Ds in sub degree wheather, he lacks common sense. He should have known not to whip the child and leave marks. Big dummyCouldn't care less about Peterson or his most likely mulatto son but hopefully he goes to prison for this just for the fact that he's a piece of **** racist.
How is this anyone's business? I don't know the details but was the child killed? Did he need serious medical attention? Kids have had the switch taken to their ass since day 1, and remember how good society used to be until recently?
