With Humphreries going on IR, I'm wondering if former WR Evan Moore has a chance to make the team as a tight end. He is listed as third on depth chart.

Spencer Havner has been splitting time at TE and LB. It is improving his chances at making the team. I am pulling for him. Havner and Spencer Larsen are very good athletes to play both ways.

The Pack haven't had a white TE since Chmura! That is too long, almost 10 years! I'll be pulling for Evan Moore and Spencer Havner to break this cycle.

if Evan Moore makes the team as a tight end, it shows two things:

1) the tremendous all-around talent that he has, and
2) the caste profiling of White athletes. can you imagine anyone saying Plaxico Burress should've bulked up and become a tight end? he and Moore are very similar in size and speed, yet Moore has to become something he's not, while Burress got paid millions to be a tall wideout who could win jump balls.

"funny" how that works out, huh?

Well, it was pretty underwhelming, but in 2003 the Packers signed and had Wesley Walls on their roster, who was a great career TE, though that was his final year, and he mainly backed up Bubba Franks. But I agree, since GB has started a white TE has been since Mark Chmura, and he was a great player.
