Does anyone remember a few years ago when there were teams interested in trading for Bonner? Now will anyone sign him as a free agent?
Yes, their ex-GM, who is black, stated this numerous times a few years ago (early 2024?) -- supposedly teams loved his special teams coverage ability, as well as his overall speed/athletic ability and were willing to trade for him. Even with that, he was rarely active that season. The Dolphins new HC had a lot of praise for him, until the final pre-season game.
Of the 48 UDFA's that made rosters, here are the 3 Whites, at Caste positions.
LB
Caden Fordham Tampa Bay
ED
Jack Pyburn Kansas City ****
ED
Ethan Burke Baltimore... Supposedly
really impressed; no surprise, as he was probably a 3rd round caliber talent. Sans the Caste system, perhaps even first round! And, by the way, no short arms. Tall, with a Condor-like wingspan! Could (no should) develop into a future starter!
"Quarterback"
Haynes King, who should've been trained as a tailback and eventually developed into a Christian McCaffery type, made the Black Panthers. Connecticut's ex-QB made it in Baltimore, after a fantastic pre-season, as did Atlanta's undrafted QB
ED Eric O'Neill also made the Lions. Despite a recently posted picture of his family at Rutgers, I still have questions? His James Madison bio from two years ago lists his mom as being a single parent. The middle-aged, red-haired male in the Rutgers photo is likely a step, uncle or ex-coach. His mom is very "ginger". Hard to believe
two flaming red-heads, with ultra light complexions, would produce a son with black kinky hair, that
looks darker than Vinny Testaverde?
**** Hope K.C. is doing this for "pure reasons", improving their roster and developing a future starter. Not claiming him,
only to keep him away from L.S.U. By that, I mean they'd keep him on the roster for a few weeks, then discard him (relegate to P-Squad) once it's too late for him to go back to college. They could be doing this as a "
favor" for the Powers-That-Be in college football, who don't want high profile NFL cuts returning?
