Since 2006 Virginia has started 4, 8, 8, 8, 9, 8, 10, 9, 7, 9, 7, 6, 6, 6, 7, 4, 7, 7, 6 and 7 white athletes. This year they regress back to 6. The Cavaliers are projected to start 6 in 2026.
The Cavaliers double dipped in the portal and got two of the better available QBs. Beau Pribula is on his third school, not sure if this is his last year of eligibility but he has been named started. Additionally Eli Holstein the former Pitt/Alabama QB is sitting at second on the depth chart. Why he chose UVA instead of other schools with a starting opportunity is probably tied up with NIL money.
DE Fisher Camac is a legitimate NFL prospect and with a strong year should be a draft riser. They also brought in Justin Townsend the career sack leader for Columbia. Getting both of them on the field at the same time would be good to see.
4/5s of the backup o-line are White, TE John Rogers, DE Billy Koudelka and DE Justin Townsend.
