Utah has started 11, 11, 11, 8, 8, 11, 11, 11, 6, 6, 6, 5, 5, 2, 4, 5, 9, 7 and 7 whites. In 2026 they start 7.

Players to look out for are WR Creed Whittemore, TE Noah Bennee, LG Reece Parmenter, DT Lucas Samsula, LB Trey Reynolds, DB Marcus Wimberly. The Utes will probably see 5-6 defenders on the field at time this year making them one of the defensive units to follow. Jackson Bennee came out of nowhere last year (another White walk-on phenom) and emerged as one of the elite defensive backs in the nation. Looking over the roster as a whole I was surprised to see a decent amount of White athletes across the board. Certainly not ideal but not as bad as many of the teams.

QB position of course leaves something to be desired. Whittingham didn't have much of a track record in QB development so it will be interesting to see if Scalley fares any better. There is an interesting true freshman on the team Kane Archer. Looked to have a prolific high school career in Arkansas but I guess that wasn't good enough to get recruited by any of the HBCU SEC teams.

Kane Archer was INCREDIBLE in high school. if memory serves, he only lost ONE game as a starter over his four year high school career.

he led the all-White Greenwood Bulldogs to two 6A (the second-largest classification in the state) state championships, threw for over 10,000 yards, accounted for over 175 touchdowns as a true dual-threat, and tossed just 12 total interceptions IN FOUR YEARS.

clearly, you can obviously see why he was rated as only. 3-star prospect. /sarcasm
