2026 Track Results

Well, Diamond League Poland didn't turn out as I hoped, but it's still been a great summer with lots of promise for the future.
 
In Poland on August 26th we will get to see Sam Blaskowski in the mens 100 meters. His 2nd race in Poland. I hope he is falling in love with
the country his ancesters are from and that he decides to move there and run for Poland. If he does I believe he would have to miss next years World Champs but would be eligible for the Olympics in 2028. We will see what he decides. He may even have to miss 2 years of eligibility. It would be a very tough decision to make. I still think it's the right decision for his career. He still has almost a decade of sprinting
left in his legs barring serious injuries.

Dominik Kopec will also be in the mens 100 meters.

He doesn't have to move there he would just represent them internationally.

So many athletes do this dodge it's quite common for Americans to represent the birth place of one of their parents or even grandparents. The only famous White athlete I can think of is Duplantis who lives in Sweden and represents them but a few years back Hannah Cunliffe was supposedly going to represent Italy(Cunliffe is an Anglo Saxon name).

He also could still compete on the circuit as Wilson Kipketer gave up Kenyan citizenship for Danish citizenship and missed one cycle of world meets to get out of corrupt Kenya.
 
I hope he stays in America. I can't tell you how sick I am of seeing 8 Africans line up for the final of every meet here.

It's a mixed bag. I like seeing him here but the odds of him making a team are a long shot other than a relay guy. In Poland he would be
the fastest sprinter in Polish History. This would make him millions of dollars. He would be a rockstar there! He can share his training methods and help to inspire the young Polish Sprinters to be like him. Call it the Lachlan Kennedy Effect on the Polish Boys. We need sprinters like
Sam Blaskowski to show Europeans what can be done. Lemaitre and Guliyev led the way but it's time for the next wave of guys.
 
I suspect that even if he changes his nationality, he will still live, train, and race in the U.S.

I hope so. Being here and training with all those soul brothers really helps to push him to higher levels than if he was the Alpha.
 
Sam Blaskowski only ran 10.19 today in Poland for 2nd to last place. I think he is just getting experience. This is just my opinion but I
believe he will now train super hard to try and have his 2nd peak fitness by the 2nd week of September for the Worlds Athletics Ultimate Championships which he is qualified for as well as Lachlan Kennedy. Hoping to see both of these guys in top shape by then for a big
bang to end the season on. We will see what happens.
 
I have high hopes for the future of this Russian Sprinter Nikolay Grudkovskiy at 19 with a new p.b. of 20.39! He has a p.b.
of 10.13 in the 100 meters so far! One to keep a close eye on.

iron certainly does sharpen iron - but maybe he can run more relaxed more often when it's not in the back of his mind 'they'll be running me down any second now".
If that's the case his speed is there already
 
Kennedy and Blaskowski race each other today in Italy.
While Jonas Phijffers and Leendert Koekemoer run in the 400m.

Blaskowski 10.19, Kennedy 10.21 for 4th and 5th place.
Koekemoer 44.52, Phijffers 44.61 for 1st and 2nd place!
Also Amy Hunt 11.06 for 1st place in the women's 100m, and Jenna Prandini 22.75 for 4th in the 200m.

They are both qualified for the first ever World Athletics Ultimate Championships. Will they even bother to go or just pull out? With the
shape they are in it might be best to just call it a season. I want to see them there but not if they are going to get humiliated.
 
Just a quick note...Koekemoer is still an U20 athlete, and his 44.52 is a new PB and South African U20 record.
Also he won that race from lane 1, which makes his time and win even more impressive.

I watched the race and he was cool as ice and very smooth. He looks like a professional already. So fluid and so relaxed. This kid without
a shadow of a doubt has the talent to run in the high 43's someday. Not since Jeremy Wariner have we seen that from one of our guys!

does anyone have videos for any/all of these races?
 
10.19 and 10.21 are nothing worrying from Baskowski and Kennedy. They aren’t trying to peak again and it’s the end of the season. In fact those times are great when you consider everything. White sprinting has progressed so much that these times feel like a let down now!
