Running a sub 10 can come in many different ways and from different body types. Short guys and tall guys. Skinny guys and muscular guys. Explosive starters vs Explosive Finishers. There is no perfect combonation as every sprinter is different.

To show you an example here we have 2 white sprinters who have both went sub 10.

Lachlan Kennedy with a p.b. of 9.96 in the 100 meters. He is an explosive starter as good as any sprinter in the world. He has a 60 meters
personal best time of 6.43! Yet he still had to learn how to finish the last 40 meters stronger in order to go sub 10. Kennedy made adjustments and now has a good 2nd half of his races.

Sam Blaskowsk with a p.b. of 9.89 in the 100 meters. His p.b. in the 60 meters is only a 6.60 which is very slow for the majority of sub 10 sprinters. Usually the tall guys have slower starts but make up the difference in the 2nd half of the race with their large strides. Sam Blaskowski is short at only 5'9 but still just crushes the 2nd half. If he can get better out of the blocks who knows what he can do? At his height he should be able to get that 60 meters p.b. alot faster.

Both of these guys are not that tall but exceptionally talented. I think Kennedy will always get into the 9.80's. The question is can either
of them make the medal stand at the Olympics or World Championships? While it seems like a long shot I believe that both of these
guys can make the finals. In the finals against the fastest sprinters on earth anything can and will happen.
 
Cooper Lutkanhaus gets another big Diamond League win and the world lead in the 800 (1:42.08), and Henriette Jaeger gets another 400 win with season best of 49:52.
 
While not a world class time, it's worth keeping an eye on Ireland's Lauren Roy as just a couple weeks ago she ran an 11.23 which is the 2nd fastest 100m time in Irish history. The Irish record is currently held by an African sprinter so it would be nice to see Roy take the crown. She's very easy on the eyes too and doesn't look all juiced up.

the fastest 200m time in the NCAA this season was held by Jelani Watkins of Arkansas (19.87). the interesting part of the story is that he’s going home early from the NCAA Championships because the Tom Iron Rule went into full effect.

all he had to do was finish top-two in his semifinal heat, BUT HE EASED UP BEFORE THE FINISH LINE and was passed at the last moment. LOL

 
Finally, something to cheer about at the NCAA Championships.
Vance Nilsson, a sophomore at the University of Florida, demolished the field in the 400m hurdles, winning from lane 9 in a great time of 48.06. 2nd place was 48.82. So he won by almost 8/10s of a second! A dominant performance.
We spoke about Nilsson when he was in high school, setting a National Record in the 300m hurdles in 2024.

Ja'Kobe Tharp of Auburn 12.75 World Record in Semis Wednesday and backs it up with 12.90 into headwind in Final.Where are they finding these Nigerians,they win the 100 in 9.72,400 in 43.38 and second in 200.
 
Other NCAA news - Colin Sahlman, another former HS phenom, won the 800m in a time of 1:44.22.
Simon Birnbaum of Oregon won the 1500m easily in 3:36.05.
Ben Barton of BYU won the decathlon.
 
19 year old German Sprinter Jakob Kemminer ran a new p.b. of 10.23 today in Germany. He won't turn 20 until next January. This kid
has some talent and he looks alot like Matthew Boling. Not as talented but still one to watch in the future.
 
At an international junior meet in Germany, I see that Leendert Koekemoer of South Africa won the 400m in 45.11.
Xenia Buri of Switzerland won the women's 100m in 11.13 (1.1w), which is the leading U20 time in Europe. She also ran 11.14 (0.3w) in the heats.

Meanwhile in Greece, 21 yr old Nora Lindahl of Sweden, won the 200m in 22.61w (2.9). She finished 2nd in the 100m with a PB of 11.18 (1.8w)
Miltiadas Tentoglou had windy jumps of 8.54 and 8.42 to win the Long Jump.
Simon Verherstraeten of Belgium won the 100m in a windy 9.97 (3.2w), Dominik Kopec of Poland was 2nd in 10.05, and Hristo Iliev of Bulgaria was 3rd also in 10.05.

Is it just me or Adaejah Hodge looks more like a man than a woman? There is so much trickery with men in womens sports these days. I could list alot of WNBA Players that are not female in my opinion. I see many in track that I also have suspicions of. Regardless I don't
believe any sprinter of that young and age can run that fast without alot of help from flinstone vitamins in my honest opinion.

What are your guys thoughts on this? Thank is advance.

Some notable times at the Japanese Championships:
19 year old Naoki Nishioka ran 10.09 in the semis of the 100m, and another 19yo, Fukuto Komuro, ran 10.07 in the heats.
In the 200m heats, Soshi Mizukubo ran 20.07 (+0.5) - 2nd fastest Japanese all-time.
In the 400m hurdles, 17 year old Taiju Goto ran 48.09!, breaking the U18 best he had set in the semi-finals.
