Since 2006, Syracuse has started 6, 7, 8, 9, 8, 9, 8, 7, 4, 3, 3, 4, 6, 4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 4 and 5 white athletes. In 2026 the Orange look to start 5.
Syracuse is consistent if anything over the last 20 years.
QB Steve Angeli looked like one of the best QBs early in the season last year before injuring his achilles verse Clemson. He's a 5th year senior so he may have another year of eligibility but I would think one strong season from him should get him noticed by the NFL. The rare duo of starting LBs is also something to look out for. Why Chris D'Appolonia was ignored by Pitt and PSU despite being an in state player, having to go to Toledo and then jump to Syracuse can only be explained by the caste system.
