Kicking off the week 1 thread with some news from the opening night game.

For NE Treyvon Henderson will miss with injury. Lan Larison may get the PS call up to be RB3. We’ll have to see.

For Seattle, unfortunately Ty Okada is going to miss the game with an injury. I wonder will PS safety Maxen Hook get elevated. Also worth monitoring.

Nice to see you back, MCDC!

Key Elevation Rules:
Weekly Limit: Each team can elevate a maximum of two practice squad players per game.

Per-Player Limit: An individual player can only be elevated three times during a regular season. To play a fourth game, the team must sign them to the active 53-man roster outright.

Automatic Return: Once the game ends, the elevated player automatically reverts to the practice squad without having to clear waivers.

Ref, if Larison is hoping to stick around, he will need to pull a "Woodhead" and flash as soon as possible. Might only have 3 games to shine? Woodhead did it game one with the Patriots (<link) and the rest is history; positive history. Then really broke out (receiving) with the Patriots, on a Monday Night vs. the Jets.

Lan can't (Jake) Funk it up, by putting forth insignificant or mediocre results, even in very limited chances. That, of course, assumes Lan gets chances, other than special teams coverage?

Unfortunately this is starting to become a trend with yet another prominent White player:

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Raiders TE Brock Bowers is expected to miss “a game or two” after undergoing a meniscus trim on Tuesday.

Raiders No. 2 TE Michael Mayer should be added wherever available. On the plus side, this does not appear to be a long-term absence, but missing Bowers for a couple of games is obviously concerning. According to Schefter, Bowers “got banged up ‘a little in camp’ and the injury was diagnosed last week.” With any luck, fantasy managers can expect to get their TE1 back for the Raiders’ Week 3 game against the Saints. Mayer is a TE1 in the meantime.

Darnold injured on the fifth play of the game. Reminds me of how Aaron Rodgers was lost for the season with an Achilles injury on a very early play of the opening game, hopefully Sam isn't seriously hurt.

That's some bad news. Hopefully it's not a season ender.

I’m worried about this Darnold injury, he’s one of my favorite QBs and he faces some of the most disrespect by DWFs. Let’s hope it’s not his nagging oblique injury from last year

What is the deal with the meniscus trim? I was told 2 years ago I needed this at 58 years old. I opted to not have it done and have been running around on a bad knee for over 40 years!

Riley Mills just absolutely blew up a run play for a big TFL, looked like a monster
I saw the play and he gave me flashbacks of JJ Watt. I've heard alot of hype, including from his own teammates (Leonard Williams), regarding Rylie. I would not be surprised if he emerges into a star talent eventually.
First down catch and run for Larison!
Good to see him getting involved on offense. The RB2 Kiner is very unimpressive. A scrub from a bad Cardinals team that for some reason the Pats felt inclined trading for. I'm hoping that Larison eventually overtakes him.

Rhamondre was also beaten badly by Drake Thomas who scored a QB hit on Drake Maye.

Big first down for fullback Brady Russell. Glad the Seahawks are still legitimately utilizing fullbacks with the new OC.

Nice long catch for Kupp! He's still got it but just doesn't see many targets these days....

Edit: Kupp with a TD catch that's negated by a 2 men in motion penalty. Shoot.
