I’ve seen enough now that I’m accepting that SAS rant is probably real. It was hard to believen that the highest paid “ face of ESPN”could be that brazenly stupid. His ego as a non-athletic black man (check out his first pitch at a baseball game), and his entire sense of self worth is based upon the reflective glory of other black men “dominating” basketball. The fact that he has not been suspended is crazy.

He will never be suspended. They are allowed to say whatever they want 95 percent of the time. It's always been a double standard. Kind of like how they can say the magical N Word every day and put it in songs, tv or movies. Then if anyone else says it they want to take your scholarship or job.

I don't think it's surprising at all. It's just another illustration of the unchecked black privilege that is omnipresent and openly accepted. BSPN isn't going to fine him for his kosher talking point, no one in the establishment sports media is going to attack his racist statement because they are in on it too. Drunk White Fans are hopeless, the World Cup cemented that for me. If you are too stupid to push back on non-ethnic/racial representatives of your respective country than this Stephen A. Smith racism won't be a blip on the radar. It's one of the biggest psy-ops of the past 70 years and is hardcoded into society at this point.

This wasn't mentioned specifically: Little Bronny James had a partially-guaranteed contract this offseason. The Lakers promised him $1.3 million and had until Monday night to waive him or guarantee an extra million on top of that for the upcoming season. They didn't waive him, so he is guaranteed $2.3 million this year. The next morning, LeBron declared for free agency.

Did LeBron jew the Lakers and pinch an extra million out of them and against their cap?

Hopefully, the same subservience LeBron has come to expect is also granted by his next team. Part of his negotiation can be trading for his son. The higher cap number will give the Lakers a bit of relief, flexibility, and perhaps even a future 2nd round pick.

Bronny shouldn't have been drafted, of course. Most 2nd rounders don't get guaranteed money, either.
