Hi - I'm new to the thread and don't know much at all about soccer. Who should I be rooting for? I know it's not America or England or France or Germnay. Who is the white team most likely to win?

It's probably Argentina which is largely an ethnic Italian team with some Castizo players and a few Spaniards and one player who has a Scottish surname but at best is half Scottish as he looks like a Southern European.

As others have stated Germany was awful again and lost to a very mediocre Paraguay squad in penalty kicks. The Germans have been so bad since 14' that the have consistently broken unprecedented levels of achievement with the awful opposite of these achievements.

Until 18' The German squad always made at least a quarterfinal, that went up in smoke. They have failed to advance to the old play off format for 3 straight tournaments( a new record for ineptitude) and now they have lost in their first shoot out.

You can't expect the goalie to save 3 straight shots because your players repeatedly hit posts or attempted try out for NY Jets kicker job with sky high penalty kicks.

As for the Dutch they have been awful at penalties for years and this came back to bite them in the butt.

I will say that through better coaching weaker squads have come closer to being equal with better talented squads with using defensive shells as Germany was repeatedly smothered by Paraguayan defenders in the first half as Paraguay was content to play in a shell similar to a team killing a penalty in hockey.

Since I don't watch the Premier League I don't know if Haaland is someone who puts his own glory ahead of the team - I'd be surprised as it's very unScandinavian to do so - but he should've passed to an open player during that late opportunity instead of trying to score himself. Ivory Coast nearly scored right after it.

Definitely Argentina.

Croatia is all-white but hasn't looked good enough to go much further. Bosnia & Herzegovina would also count if you don't mind the many Bosniak Muslims in their squad - that they're whiter and more sympathetic than the USA goes without saying.

Spain features "only" two blacks, but both are goal-scoring wingers and starters, including a black Muslim teenager who has been anointed to supplant Messi as the GOAT and also walk on water and then turn that water into wine (which he will not drink, because he is Muslim, although he has a white Spanish prostitute girlfriend). Until he inevitably tears something, that rules Spain out for me.

Norway "only" has two blacks, but the team is already in unchartered waters in terms of advancing. Belgium and Portugal have an outside shot at winning the cup, but you wouldn't necessarily cheer for them ahead of the aforementioned teams. Sweden and Austria each have a short handful of non-whites on the pitch at all times.

If you're watching games passively, it's almost as important to root against the villains. England's roster has been artificially replaced with a social engineering experiment. France's team has been a punchline for many cycles now, but it should still be celebrated when they lose. African teams have been force-fed into this tournament, so it's good optics that they all get eliminated quickly. Switzerland fields a majority non-white team and has an easy corner of the bracket, so I'd love to see them lose soon, too.

It’s been a good couple of days since the “real” World Cup has started. It was great to see both Germany and Netherlands with their African loaded squads eliminated at the hands of underdogs who far better represent their respective countries in terms of team demographics. Bonus points as several blacks missed their penalties during the shoot-outs. As someone who has always supported Germany over the years right up until their 2014 WC win, it‘s extremely disappointing to see what has become of “Die Mannshaft”.

Glad to see Norway advance in a true caste match-up but the odious French team look hard to beat. Much like we see in the NFL from time to time when that rare black team has a brief run of success, thIs African France team seems to be living up to the hype so far.

For me, it’s Argentina all the way. Zero blacks on the roster, it’s a white country and a white team with a fair number of mestizos. A win by Argentina will be the best outcome in this WC.

The attackers a couple of times were in two minds.

Attack for the killer goal or keep ball and waste time.

After he hesitated the chance to pass was gone. He shoulr have passed or hit it earlier himself.

I usually root against much better than rooting for. I perfected this in the Olympics rooting against Erin Jones, Lindsay von Afrika, figure skaters, etc.

I must say watching the opening of the Austria vs Spain game, it is very watchable. It looks like Austria has to African defenders but the rest of the starters are White. On the Spanish side it looks like only one black starter with the rest being White.

Hello dear friends, I predict a final of Spain vs Argentina. Spain is an incredible team. Their ability to keep the ball and control the pace is out of this world. This is how they eliminated France in Euro 2024 and this is how they will do it again.

Spain vs Argentina will be poetic justice and clear proof that no matter what they do, this is a white man’s sport on the elite level.

15 out of 22 WC have been won by fully white teams. An additional 5 by majority white teams. The only world champion teams that didn’t have a majority starting 11 white team were Brazil 2002 (4 whites, 3 blacks and 4 brown) and 2018 France that started 5 whites, 5 blacks and whatever Varane is.

France 1998 gets too much credit for being a “diverse” or even “black” team when 8 out of 11 were white. We are too fast and easy to give away our dominance even when the stats are backing us up, and this is one of the main reasons we have declined in the West. I will stick to the World Cup though and leave such matters for other threads.

Here’s France 1998 btw. And to think about it, this is described as a black dominated victory quite often when there are clearly 8 whites in the starting 11
