A strong November should really boost his chances. Toney is injured, Smith no longer has Sayin. It's pretty wide open and Mestermaker is the out of nowhere star that has yet to be recognized as a legitimate Heisman candidate.

Kiffin is an overrated coach. He did not kick the FG in the first half in the red zone and went for it on 4th in the 2nd half not converting as well.

Leavitt isn't the problem with LSU. Playcalling and coaching decisions are. I wonder if he comes back or goes to the NFL.
Hansen broke a 40+ yard run late in the game to help ice it. PSU almost blew it. Cheap shot on Becht by a poly DB helped the issue.
Metz made alot of plays today, he's an impressive LB.

@Truthteller has brought up Merrimack a few times when mentioning the bizarre demographics of an FCS team in a White area of the country. Glad to see them get blown out. Their QB sucked at UMASS and he sucks when dropping down a level too. Go figure.

Here's some background on Johnson. He was very good at LSU before Brian Kelly arrived and blew things up. Injury redshirts + covid eligibility came into play.

in other Big Ten news, nice to see Robert Fitzgerald back in the secondary for Northwestern after missing three games due to injury. he’s as good a strong safety as there is in the collegiate game, in my opinion, although he did get beat for a touchdown in the open field on Iowa’s opening drive.
