2026 Boston College Golden Eagles

Since 2005, Boston College has started 10, 12, 13, 12, 13, 12, 11, 14 11 13, 13, 13, 10, 12, 10, 7, 5, 6, 8, 5 and 2 Whites. The Golden Eagles look to start 8 in 2026. A nice and surprising increase.

QB Grayson Wilson comes in and backs up D2 Dual Threat Mason McKenzie. TEs Brady Clough and Danny Edgehille should see playing time.
DL Mac Fitzgerald and LB Steve Klein are two true freshman to keep an eye on.

BC is another in a long list of offenders that seem to have just stopped recruiting White athletes.

Bucky, I know a "Mac" isn't the same as a "Mc", although close enough geographically (Europe).

I'd like to link a recent post of mine***, featuring some potential Running Back's to watch, who are not exactly on the same tier (YET) as those put forth by Twenty-Two.

B.C. could (eventually) have their first starting RB in several decades! An uber-athletic local kid, who set all sorts of Bay State records!

Will O'Brien give him the same chance he gave Zach Zwinak at P.S.U.? If you remember, Zwinak was looking like a rising superstar (<stats) at RB, until the vile, mixed-race creep Ben Franklin took over for Jim O' and immediately demoted him to third or 4th string

Anyway, lets hope Bo gets his shot to shine. When I looked at B.C.'s roster, they had like 4 or 5 White RB's. But Bo is the only one that has shot to play; the others are all obvious walk-ons who might only (best case scenario) get a few token 4th quarter carries as seniors in blowouts. Bo is legit! Spread the word.

I may be misunderstanding the comments above but Mac is simply a Gaelic patronymic prefix meaning "son of". It is commonly abbreviated Mc or Ma (or more than a century ago M'). It's no different than Saint being commonly abbreviated "St" as in St. John. Since Mc is simply an abbreviation, it is pronounced "mac" as in McNamara or McEnroe or McElhenny. However, if the name begins with a "C" or a "G" then it's pronounced "muh" as in McCoy or McGee. The Irish were called Micks not because of the patronymic prefix but because so many were named Michael with its Gaelic pronunciation and shortening to Mick. The Irish were also called Paddys from the Gaelic Padraig, which is Patrick in the Anglicized form.

Thanks for the explanation, Okie, I always assumed "Mc" was Irish and "Mac" was Scottish. Hence the close enough geographically comment.
