From 2006 - 2023 (no 2013 writeup) the Red Wolves have started 7, 8, 7, 6, 6, 7, 8, 3, 2, 2, 4, 3, 6, 5, 4, 4 and 4 whites. In 2026 they are projected to start 3.
Caste Clown Butch Jones is still in control. The only interesting note about this team is the roster composition at the QB position has done a 180. There are 3 White QBs on the roster transferred over from SEC schools Trey Owens from Texas and Jérémy St-Hilaire/Drew Dickey from Vanderbilt. Sad to see SEC QBs drop down in competition and get stacked on the same roster rather than have P5 schools offer them but since Whites can no longer magically play QB this seems to be the new trend which goes on unquestioned and uninterrupted. There are 2 White DL and 0 White LBs on the roster, bear in mind Butch Jones was head coach of Central Michigan and Cincinnati when both teams were much Whiter 15-20 years ago.
Players to look out for are QB Drew Dickey, TE Tyler Little, OT Tanner Welch, OG Baker North, C Talan Chandler, DT Sam Hultz
