The World Championships didn't go to well for many of our guys and girls.

My 2 favorites were both from the women. Femke Bol winning the gold medal in the 400 meters hurdles. Then a close 2nd
was Amy Hunt taking the silver medal to arrive on the international scene. This will give her so much confidence going forward!

Things only seemed bad if you viewed the short sprints. White men continued the inroad that has been established in the last few world level meets with wins and medals in the middle and long distance events. There was also the first White male medal in the in the triple jump in 20 years.

There also was the all native German short sprint relay bronze on the female side and the Dutch women punched above their weight and grabbed a long sprint relay bronze.

A few White males got the kissing your sister prize of coming 4th as Irish runner Cian McPhillips placed 4th in a very fast 800m final. He may get upgraded at some point to a podium finish. Similarly former world champion Niklas Kaul placed 4th in the decathlon but judging by their builds and the history of doping in the event Neugebauer and Garland could be less than natty.

The Italian lady Battocletti finished a very strong 3rd in the 5000m to massive PED users from Kenya Kypyegon and Chebet...

Also let’s not forget about the men’s high jump. A white gold and bronze and a Korean silver. The long jump didn’t go well but the marks weren’t great and Tentoglou’s best from this year would’ve won easily so I’m suspecting he had an injury as he was way off what he’s capable of.

Forgot to mention that Lukenkemper was absolutely flying down the stretch in the 4x100m relay, she was hauling in the top two quite quickly! If you have a chance to watch a replay of the race take a good look at Lukenkemper's run.....burners and jets!

Luckenkemper is is always fighting fast in the relay. She used to do the 3rd leg where she'd be holding off people on the curve inside her but swapped with Hasse for the home leg quite recently - i think after her fighting win in the 2022 Euro 100m final. She refuses to be run down

She not only held off the sprinters behind her but made up ground on the ones in front of her. She still has that elite top speed that few have.

On a side note it's a shame that Konstantin Krylov wasn't even allowed to run? I feel bad for all of Russia's Athletes. It's so unfair and it's been
going on for many years. Let them compete internationally.

I would tend to wager that Jamaica alone has more dopers in the last 15 years than Russia ever had......

i can't see Krylov making it past the heat - but yes, it would be fair to give him a chance.
How is it some Russian athletes get to compete as non-nation attached but others don't? I'd like to know how that works
