2025 Track Results

Here's some surprising, but good news:
Elliot Jones of Great Britain, ran 10.04 (1.9w) in Stratford today.
His previous PB was 10.20. He had also run a windy 9.93 (3.7w) in June.

I was looking at the few races left before the World Championships in mid September. It looks like Lachlan Kennedy won't have any races before then unless something changes. I hope this is wrong as he could use a tuneup race as he has been out with injuries for several
months now. Not good for him to be rusty going into his first World Champs. Just hope he is healthy and can make us proud!

Here's the race. Jones is in lane 2.

That's a very impressive performance out of lane 2 with an empty lane 3. Hard to judge where your at in a race from that lane plus we all know the inside lanes and outside lanes are almost always way slower times. Great to see. Too bad he will be 28 next month. Love his desire though and he just may have 3 to 4 more good years to go!

Crazy when you look at the end of that race how the difference between the winning 9.97 and Jones 10.04 is almost nothing. Basically like a quarter of a step if that.

Google A I says this.

Rohan Browning competed at the CITIUS Meeting in Fribourg, Switzerland on August 16, 2025, finishing second in a 100m race with a time of 10.05 seconds, which was equal to the third-fastest time of his career. This event was noteworthy as it occurred shortly after the news that Browning had split with his long-time coach Andrew Murphy.

Event

: CITIUS Meeting, a World Athletics Continental Tour event.
  • Date: August 16, 2025.
  • Location: Fribourg, Switzerland.
  • Performance: Browning finished in second place with a time of 10.05 seconds, matching his personal best.
Significance of the Meet

  • Coach Split:
This was one of Browning's first major competitions following his unexpected split with coach Andrew Murphy just a month before.
  • Performance:
The 10.05-second run demonstrated that the split did not negatively impact his preparation or performance, as it was a strong time for the Australian sprinter.
