2025 Track Results

Interestingly enough if Boling had competed the 400m at the trials this year his PB would have placed him 5th...
He wouldn't be able to run his PB in the final after running the heats and semi-final.
But who knows, maybe this injury break will do him good.

That's a HARD NO unless he changes events. Matthew Boling is not a true 400 meter Sprinter. Never will be even though he has talent. It's either the 100 or 200 meters or else go back to the long jump. At his age I doubt he would long jump again as the injuries would be worse.
Boling needs to train for the short sprints and give up the 400 meters forever.

Hubert Troscianka is a Polish decathlete competing in the European U20 Championships.
He ran the 400m in 46.21 to shatter not just the European U20 400m decathlon best, and also the world U20 decathlon best which was previously held by Australia’s Ashley Moloney.
Troscianka’s time was also significantly faster than the fastest time in the heats of the 400m, which was 46.46.

"Bad words were flying out." 18-year-old Russian breaks record that stood since 1980 Olympics

Alexey Danilov simply took and did what no one had managed to do for 45 years.

In the second half of July, a track and field match between the teams of Belarus and Russia in the U20 category is taking place in Brest, Belarus. It seemed like it would be a completely ordinary tournament, where the guys would get some practice, win well-deserved awards, and then go home. But one of the athletes apparently decided that everything was happening too routinely.

Alexey Danilov broke a record that had stood for 45 years!

Two records in one evening

It happened on July 21: 18-year-old Alexey set a new Russian record in the 400m race. He covered this distance in 44.56.

Just a second: the result that everyone was aiming for up until this point was shown at the Olympic Games in Moscow. The record time of 44.60 belonged to two-time Olympic champion Viktor Markin. The Soviet athlete wrote his name into history on July 30, 1980, but now it is in the past. We have a new hero.

You thought that was it? No way!

Danilov also made his mark on the list of European junior records. There, too, a record from the last century was broken. Thomas Schönlebe from the GDR ran 400 m in 45.01 in Rome on September 3, 1987.

Kenyan athletes and records are now synonymous:

Kenyan runners set incredible world records. They even eclipsed Duplantis!

"I thought I was imagining it. My vision is minus three."

Alexey saw his seconds on the scoreboard and shouted something in confident Russian. We can't write here anything that is uncensored.

"I can't really believe it yet. After the finish I immediately looked at the scoreboard, at first I thought it was my imagination. I have bad eyesight, minus three. But then, when I started getting closer to the scoreboard, I was amazed, bad words started flying out, it was from joy, emotions.

Then, when I went to rest, I met my senior coaches, they started congratulating me, telling me the time. At first, I misunderstood it. Only after I came out of the toilet, they told me the exact time – 44.56. And at first it seemed to me – 44.96. There was no limit to my happiness. That’s how things are,” Danilov said on the air of the Belarus 5 TV channel.

But still: what helped him bring his rivals two seconds or more, because this is not even the main start of the season?

"Well, first of all, it's preparation. Preparation before the competition, the moment of mood. However, the most important thing is the support of all the people who kept their fingers crossed for me. I think they were all with me today and helped me.

I really liked the stadium, it is so cozy, homey. There are a lot of athletes here, it is also pleasing to the eye, everyone is so kind and friendly. The weather was also good today," Danilov added.

The head coach of the Russian team, Ruslan Mashchenko, shares the emotions of all fans of track and field. He is also slightly shocked by what he saw.

"For us, this is also a miracle. It turns out that this can happen. This is the first time in my memory that something like this has happened," TASS quotes Mashchenko as saying.

There are fewer records from the 20th century

There are not many "eternal" records left in Russian track and field. One of them belongs to Valery Abramov in the 5000 m. On September 9, 1981, he covered this distance in 13:11.99. Yuri Dumchev's achievement in discus throwing also stands firmly in its place. On May 29, 1983, he sent the projectile to the 71.86 m mark.

And how do you like the stability of the 100-meter record that Nikolai Yushmanov ran in 10.10 on June 7, 1986? The list also includes Vladimir Krylov's achievement in the 200-meter - 20.23 from September 3, 1987.

Of course, any records can soon be broken by guys like Alexey Danilov . But in addition to numbers in history, they also need awards. And it is desirable that they be won at international competitions.

Otherwise, how will the world know about such brilliant talents?

Well, only 2 white sprinters made the finals of the 100m at the European U20 Championships. (That tells you a lot about the changing demographics of Europe). They finished first and last.
The winner was Ander Garaiar of Spain with a time of 10.40 (-0.7w).

Toscianka of Poland went on to win the European U20 Decathlon Championship, setting a world U20 record with a score of 8514 points!

Just a quick rant. The 2 fastest guys in Europe in the Mens 100 Meters are from the United Kingdom(England). They are both in
their 30's yet seem to get better as they get older. All I'm saying is if you smell smoke, there is probably fire. Something isn't right and
this is what sucks so much about Athletics. So many cheaters never get caught. Can't say for sure but it just don't smell right and I've watched track for decades. Seen this crap too many times. I feel so bad for clean athletes in all sports.
There are 100 Kenyan athletes currently on a doping ban.
I trained with a girl in the UK who twice had her medals upgraded
due to drug cheats.

Here is to some good conditions in Sweden tommorow. Henrik Larsson will be attempting to break his personal best time of 10.08! I have
a good feeling he is ready to do it. Let's hope all goes well as it would be great to see him break his p.b. with about a month to go until the 2025 World Championships of Track and Field. Here is the heat he is in and there are 2 heats.

Total letdown again. Everyone ran average with a into a slight negative wind in the finals. Oh well. Most of our guys have been
inconsistant even more than usual this year. Happy Kalen Walker and Lachlan Kennedy have both went sub 10. That's about all
we have had to root for from the men in the short sprints. Let's hope this last month of the season goes better but I don't have high hopes
for anyone at the moment except Lachlan Kennedy & he even has a bad back injury. Hoping he will be fine for the World Championships!

There just aren’t enough white sprinters. It’s a pure numbers game. 85% of the top 100 sprinters in the world are black. And half of the 15% that aren’t black are Asian. That leaves us with just a handful of sprinters to root for and it’s not enough. Unfortunately there just aren’t enough whites participating.

I know but it's so frustrating with a month to go till the world champs.

Rohan Browning and some other Aussie Sprinters are racing on August 12th. Let's hope they do good.

Also we will see Oliwer Wdowik in the DIamond League Race in Poland on August 16th!

Depending on the form of Kennedy, Browning may be the fastest white guy right now. Kalen Walker hasn’t run since June so he might be dealing with injuries. Krylov is in the mix but will he be able to compete at worlds? Other than that, we’ve got a handful of guys who are in the 10.1-10.2 range right now so I’m hoping some of them are able to peak nicely for September. I have a feeling that the times are going to be really fast this year at the worlds so we will have to wait and see. I’d be happy just to see one or two of our guys make the final.
