2025 Track Results

here's an article form the Sydney Morning Herald. They are coached by the same coach and training partners - yet fascinating how different their body types are. Which proves there's no set body type needed to be really fast on the world stage.
Kennedy has recently upped his quarter sqats to 320 kgs (700 lbs+) of 6 reps. That is Linford Christie type numbers - I hope he doesn't overdo it.

This my friends on this board is why I finally switched my avatar. Only the 3rd avatar I've had here in 21 years. I had Christophe Lemaitre,
Matthew Boling and now Lachlan Kennedy.

He ran a 10.00 wind legal like a jog in the park. Love this kid. So exciting to watch as he lights up the track!
his legs resembled springs as he dance about after the time was announced. I guess 1/4 squatting 700lbs will do big things to hips, calves and plantar flexion ability. I wonder what his standing jumps would be

surely it'll happen soon. In the last nearly 4 years we've had Kennedy 10.03, Browning 10.02 and 10.01 and Kennedy 10.00 and 2 newer prospects cracking 10.10

the final will be these guys. They mostly seemed to hold a little in reserve for the final which is only 1 1/2 hours later. The most impressive to me today was Jack Hale who missed the start and flew home in the manner he used to. He easily passed 2 guys between 85m and the finish line.
The semis didn't have the intensity of yesterday. We'll see what happens later

fantastic final - a pity Seb Sultana had to withdraw as he just pulled his calf a little in the final 5 metres of his semi. He would have easily picked up Bronze - but old man Browning is back after 2 years of injury. He equalled his Tokyo time so he's not finished yet
Jack Hale has a bit to go yet (his starts need work again) but is building a firm base.

Imagine two Aussies in the same race running 10.001 and 10.006. Rohan was 1/1000th of a second off a new PB 10.00 - that's a 1/2 inch

I was really hoping that Lachlan would break the 10 second barrier in the finals

but its good to see veteran runner Rohan Browning come back to his prime

I'm also impressed with Caleb Laws PB of 10.17. I agree Hale got a poor start and was really motoring at the end. Kennedy also got a poor start by his standards leaving a gap from Browning who he closed on like a freight train. Very good race and Browning has company!

Matthew Boling just won his heat at the Gamecock Invitational in 10.25. He is not listed as running in the 400 at that meet. The final will be in about an hour and a half.

Drew Donley is running this evening in the 100 at the 44 Farm Teams invitational. He drew lane 1 in his heat.

I still have not seen any result from Kalen Walker yet this year. I really have high hopes for that guy.

Incredible race. To say that Kennedy didn't get out of the blocks great is an understatement. He wins easily with his normal start. Happy for Browning. Wish Rohan B. Would have dipped as he would have got a new p.b. of 10.00! Despite this you can see how he is back. No one
gave him much of a chance. Perfect redemption race to annouce himself on the local & world scene again.

Hard to believe that we just witnessed the fastest Overall Australian 100 Meters of All Time. The exciting thing is that these times are raising the bar of the level of competition. So many young guys that are fighting to get to the top. I sensed a little bit of animosity from Browning and the young guys. I think it's just guys competing at the highest level. Browning has to be sick of Gout Gout & Lachlan Kennedy stealing all his glory. Things are really interesting down under in Australia. I love it. Hope these guys can rest up and do some meets in Europe this summer before the World Championships.

peaking again for northern hemisphere season is always difficult - here's hoping!

me too. He's pretty unflappable and, basically a 200m guy, is getting his strength and starts together now.
He's in the 200m today and will have Gout to chase

they seemed to be getting on after the reality of the situation had settled.

Matt Shirvington won 5 straight National Championship in the 100 Meters for Australia. He was unbeatable on home soil in his prime.

Rohan Browning now has 3 National Championships in the 100 Meters. This may very well be his last but who knows? You can never
count this guy out? He has eclipsed or at minimum equaled Shirvington in my opinion career wise. He has almost as many national championships and add in making it to the semi finals in the Olympics along with running sub 10.10 twice in Japan at those Olympics.

Now we will have to wait and see what Lachlan Kennedy does over the next 4 to 8 years. He alrady has a World Indoor Championships Siver Medal in the 60 meters and now a Silver Medal at the National Championships. Then add in he is the 2nd fastest Aussie ever at 21 years of age.

Calab is 21 and getting stronger. He is also very "chill" and loves his racing and his relay mates. So up till now he's concentrated on the 200m but as his start improves I'm convinced 10.10 is around the corner.
Jack Hale and Jacob Despard (both lanes closest to camera) are both from the little island state at the bottom of Australia, Tasmania. Two men who have run 10 teens from a population of 580,000 is pretty good for the sport down there.
It's hard for me to believe we have potentially 2 teams capable of 38 or under for the 4 x 100m

Belgium Sprinter Kobe Vleminckx ran a time of 10.27 -1.4 wind today.

That converts to a 10.16 with no wind and a 10.04 with a legal 2.0 wind. Very solid opener for him.

This guy has so much hatred for white sprinters. Seen guys like him my whole life. Haters gonna hate. Can't even aknowledge real
talent even after a silver medal at the World Indoor Champs by 1/100th of a second.

They don’t like it when whitey performs well in an area they consider theirs. Just look at all the whiny meltdowns they are having about boxing and basketball now.
