Since 2014 the Bobcats have started 8, 6, 5, 7, 5, 5, 5, 8, 6,6 and 3 whites. They are projected to start 5 in 2025.
Certainly an outlier in the coal Sun Belt conference.
QB Nate Yarnell transfers over from Pitt where he had some success and should hopefully be able to thrive in the passing offense. RB Lincoln Pare returns as the starter, let's hope for a big season from him. WR Beau Sparks also adds another dimension to the passing game. Overall it seems that the schools in the state of Texas continue to ignore the White athletes that built up Texas football over the decades.
Players to look out for are WR Drew Edwards, TE Ty Stamey DL JP Deeter, LB Cole Nilles (FCS transfer - in 8 games as a freshman - Registered 52 tackles, including 5 TFLs … Added 3 QBHs and a PBU).
