2025 San Francisco 49ers

Mac Jones getting some playing time is ok with me. Another young QB that got a raw deal in his career so far.

Maybe Juice gets involved in the passing game this week.

If Mac Jones keeps playing well, he will undoubtedly get another chance to be a full-time starter for another team just like Mayfield and Darnold did. Even though it's turbulent and arduous, I kind of like the path that discarded White QBs are taking. Instead of giving up, they seek out the tutelage of relatively competent offensive coaches like Shanahan, McVay, and O'Connell. I'd obviously like to see White QBs get a fair chance to succeed in their first outing, but a second chance is better than career oblivion.

Mac is 2-0 as a starter right now with 4 TDs to 1 INT. This reminds me of his rock-solid rookie season, where he showed great promise before being destroyed by Shill Incelichick and his diabolical crony Fat Patricia.

49ers injuries continue. Kalia Davis their starting left Defensive Tackle, broke his hand against the Rams, and will require surgery.
It's unreal how many injured starters the 49ers have.

The fact the 49ers are 3-1 now is outstanding. I’m not sure I’ve seen a team in recent memory with more injuries.

The offensive line is non-existent in the run game, which means McCaffrey and even his backup have no where to run. Every defense is absolutely keying on CMC but when Pearsall and Kittle and others come back, defense will be forced to account for others.

So now Fred Warner is out with an ankle injury.
Not only are the Niners injury prone; their injuries happen to their very best players!

The Patriots were aggressively trying to acquire Aiyuk in the 2024 offseason, but got turned down by him. Talk about a huge bullet dodged.

That contract looks worse and worse. It never ceases to amaze me how many fragile black WRs there are out there that sabotage their careers due to lack of impulse control.
Blacks do not possess the same future planning abilities in their prefrontal cortex as whites. That is why we see such a lack in impulse control and acting with future consequences in mind. look at all the black players who commit retarded penalties for no reason that harms their team.

Glad to see this, Aiyuk is his own worst enemy. It can't help but bode well for Ricky Pearsall's short-term future with the 49ers. Speaking of which, Pearsall has been practically invisible since returning from injury. Would be nice if he can break through tomorrow with the kind of game he ended last season with and began this season with.

Christian McCaffrey has been added to SF's injury report as questionable with a back problem, but the always allegedly well connected Adam Schefter says he's expected to play.

From Weenieworld: 49ers placed WR Brandon Aiyuk on the reserve/left squad list. If you’re not familiar with the reserve/left squad list, that’s okay, it is something typically reserved for players about to retire. The awkward saga between Aiyuk and the 49ers appears to be ending in a messy divorce, with the recent move by the team all but ensuring the two sides split in the coming offseason. The transaction also officially ends Aiyuk’s 2025 season before it began. Stay tuned through the offseason.
