Since 2006, San Diego State has started 12, 9, 9, 8, 11, 12, 10, 10, 7, 8 , 10, 9, 7, 7, 9, 7, 7, 8, and 5 White athletes. This year the Aztecs drop to 2 with a mixed DE.

QB Danny O'Neil transferred to Wisconsin to make way for Michigan transfer Jayden Denegal. This could be a team to bet against as Denegal showed no promise.

Starters:
RG Tyler McMahan, SR/TR out of Modesto JC
TE Seth Adams, SR/TR out of SE Louisiana

DE Brady Nassar looks to be of mixed ethnicities

Backups include:
WR Heath McRee, RS FR
WR Parker Threatt, RS FR
WR Will Cianfrini, RS FR
WR Ben Scolari, RS FR
OL Mason Baker, SO/TR out of American River College
OL Kai Holec, RS FR
TE Jackson Ford, FR/TR out of Tulsa
DT Sam Benjamin, SR/TR out of Arizona State/Utah State
LB Tanner Williams RS FR/TR out of Utah Stater
LB Brady Anderson RS SR

Michigan's pump and dump of upside black quarterbacks only to bring in another one is comical but I digress.

Decent amount of depth on the roster from the write up.

Went a bit deep with the backups. These teams are a bit bleak, but at least this team has 4 WRs.

LOL. Michigan had one of the worst passing campaigns in modern collegiate history last season. They changed starting quarterbacks five times, shuffling through four guys. Jayden Denegal was a third-year player last season and was never even considered as a candidate for mop-up duty. I understand that athletics isn't necessarily a "fluid" labor market, but the idea that he was a D1 starter was ridiculous up until the moment signed his transfer papers.

And that's the elephant in the room. With "NIL" in play, every single one of these transfer players is receiving some promise of money. If it was ever an unspoken truth, it is now spoken. Matthew Sluka (white) left UNLV last year over the expectation of $100k. Denegal probably received something in that range. Hopefully less: look at what a piece of crap the school's website is: https://goaztecs.com/sports/football You could build something better with GoDaddy presets for $30/month.

The backup QB is presumably another black bum transfer from Central Michigan. I assume he settled for half as much money. That's why he's #2: he's being paid less. If he was given the starting job, that would mean the guy with the money looks stupid, and we can't have that. Again, I have no way of knowing this - it's certainly not published anywhere. San Diego State football has less media buzz than a campus laptop thief! Just type in "San Diego State University" into a search engine and see what comes up.

Ourlads lists Kyle Crum as the third string quarterback. He seems pretty based!
Plans on majoring in mechanical engineering ... Hobbies include surfing, woodworking and painting ... Favorite athlete is former athlete Tim Tebow.
I get some Alex Moran vibes from the old sitcom Blue Mountain State, where the backup QB is perfectly happy to "live the life."

(ok, not really much resemblance)

Head coach Sean Lewis seems like your typical ladder-climbing goofball. He was previously a young hotshot head coach at Kent State; Deion Sanders signed him away to be Colorado's OC in 2023 as a reverse DEI black quarterback. By November, Lewis had been demoted, though his replacement Pat Shurmur's ensuing offense played even worse. Lewis failed upward into the Aztecs coaching gig and kicked things off with a 3-9 season last year. He's still just 39 years old.

Soundbytes

Lewis played tight end for Barry Alvarez at Wisconsin. Obviously, he didn't learn anything from him about roster construction.

Lewis another sellout. Rare when a former player is not a self hating cuck. Also props to Phall for incorporating Blue Mountain State into the conversation.

Had to look up Brady Nassar...out of curiosity...looks like he's listed as White

Just a few years ago San Diego State was starting 3 - 4 White players on Defense

Hopefully some of those young WRs can step up. The Aztecs passing game has been anemic over the past few years
