Since 2006 Notre Dame has started 11, 11, 10, 10, 11, 11, 9, 8, 6, 8, 8, 5, 9, 9, 9, 9 and 10. In 2025 Notre Dame is set to start 9-10 depending on how a few position battles shake out.
After two average seasons Marcus Freeman led Notre Dame to the national championship game and finished with a 15-2 record. The biggest question for this team is replacing riley leonard and, while there is still a “qb battle” being played out all signs point to CJ Carr winning the job. That will make Marcus Freeman 4 for 4 in going with non-black quarterback qbs so good on you marcus. The ol should again be a strength with a 4/5 snow plow (and as an aside let’s raise a glass to ol coach Joe Rudolph who, despite the constant pleas and demands from the media, will stick with Anthony Knapp at LT and not move him inside to guard for a black player with more “length and athleticism”). Besides the qb and ol ND returns another stude white athlete at te in Eli Raridon.
On Defense we will see a few palefaces with Josh Burnham and Donovan Hinish starting on dl. Also Brenna Vernon, Gabriel Rubio, Sean Sevilano and Cole Mullins are expected to see quality snaps. At Lb we have another tackling machine in Drayk Bowen. And one of the more intriguing position battles is at safety where Luke Talich could end up starting. At the very least he should get a decent amount of snaps in their dime package. Overall another solid ND team as long as CJ Carr is the qb, I would like to see some white wr’s but the starters and depth along the dl, keeping Knapp at lt, and Talich starting at safety can make up for it. Among the blue chip teams this is one to cheer on
