2025 NFL Week One

Redzone just said Indy scored on all 7 possessions today with Daniel Jones at QB. He is the only QB to do that in a game since at least 1991! In his FIRST GAME as the Colts starter. Gee, could there be any more clear indication that he wasn't the problem with the Giants?!
 
CMC with a big 25 yard reception. Seems maybe the 49ers coming out hot to start the second half.

Edit: Purdy throws the interception a couple plays later. Dang. Still no running lanes for CMC (or his black backup for that matter). San Fran needs to get the offensive line going if they want a successful season.
 
I’m sure many of us are wincing at McCaffrey’s usage so far, 19 touches halfway through the third period. And this is after he was put on an injury report for calf tightness on Thursday.

He is such a weapon that you want the ball in his hands every play, but Shanahan needs to be a little bit smarter. Get Juice involved, get Kittle involved. Heck even get the back up running back involved more.

Kittle is out for the rest of the game with a hamstring, yet another talented White player who regularly battles injuries
 
In the Denver game, Riley Moss and Al Singleton acquiring themselves very well and among the leading tacklers. The success of both, especially Moss, is crucial. White men can be football’s best defenders if given the opportunity to play.

Ah, you’re right. It seems more hamstring and calf injuries the last decade or two. Was rarely thing in football’s glory years.

I’m more inclined to believe the BS call that brought back Wingards pick six is not to punish wingard, but to safe face for Bryce Young. Not that I'm sure of any conspiracies though.
 
Tough day for San Fransisco’s offense. Purdy with another interception. Halfway through the 4th quarter.

Two of Saban's prized pupils at QB were awful today - Tagiolova and Young. Including Mac Jones the 1st round QBs that Saban and Alabama has produced have certainly not lived up to their draft status with Young approaching mega bust and Tua a very big disappointment. When following college football and the short memory span of the sports media and it's followers they would need to be reminded that Tagiolova was hyped up going back to his freshman year.

I think the Lions will be ok. Many teams take a few weeks to get going and other teams peak in September.
 
"Riq" Woolen was exposed on that drive. He's been a hyped up CB by the media since he entered the league. Pearsall beat him deep and Tonges just stole that ball from him in the air.
