2025 NFL Week 14

Very suspicious indeed. Big J Portnoy is mighty upset. Must have lost money, but it was funny hearing him curse Wigger Pete. Seems like Carroll is finely being viewed as the scumbag we’ve all know his is, albeit for different reasons.
lol some bigger, more powerful, more connected J (most likely) than Portnoy made a big bet on the Raiders, used his connections to "help" his bet, and ol' Barstool Dave got caught on the wrong side of it.

All that aside, Kenny Pickett played well, and outperformed Geno Smiff.

Not much interest in the Sunday Night Coal Fest.

In lighter news, Broncos fullback Adam Prentice had 2 carries for 22 yards, along with 2 receptions for 11 yards. Give this guy at least a few carries every game. He could easily be a John Kuhn type player, one that's sadly almost extinct in today's NFL.
Yes he was given a bone and ran with it. He looked smooth running the ball too, he could be a guy who could be a handcuff or closer late in games.

I have to shout out to Zach Ertz who might have played his last snap in the NFL last night considering his age and the ACL injury he suffered. He has had a brilliant career.

Adam Thielen played 48% of the snaps yesterday and had one target for 4 yards. Not much of a debut, especially because it looked promising when he was one of the receivers on the field to start the game. However, the Steelers offense is not very good and while Aaron Rodgers had his season high in passing yards, it's difficult to see Thielen being more than just another piece in a receiving room that is among the worst in the league. Ben Skowronek and Scotty Miller are WSTDs and starter Roman Wilson is so bad he was made a healthy scratch yesterday to help make room for Thielen. Rodgers force feeds D. K. Metcalf, who isn't all that, and dumps the ball off to RBs Warren and Gainwell, and that's pretty much the team's passing game. They have up to three TEs on the field but they are rarely targeted, including Pat Freiermuth, whose snap count has been around 50% and less this season.

I don't know if Thielen had offers from Buffalo and any other contenders, but at this point it looks like his career will end with a whimper. The Steelers under Head Coach for Life Mike Tomlin have never been a conducive place for White receivers.

Didn't bother watching the Sunday night game but it was nice to see the Chiefs lose and fall to 6-7. Stroud looks to still be a fairly ineffective QB this season and they are carried by the defense. It's a shame Mills lead them to 3 wins while Stroud was out. Jacksonville needs to finish strong as it looks like the Colts will be out of contention due to the Jones injury.

On the topic of the Colts a few weeks ago Jonathan Taylor was viewed as an MVP candidate. He has faded a bit in recent weeks and had a costly fumble in the loss yesterday.

About the MVP race, you are correct. It is now Stafford or maybe Maye, but that’s the race at this point, at least according to the odds.

I'm still rooting for the Houston Texans. They are up 17-10 with about 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter. I'm just so sick of seeing
Patrick Mahomes every year in the playoffs & super bowl. The streak stops this year! If they lose tonight the Chiefs are eliminated'
from the playoffs. Then if we could just delete the state farm and countless other commercials he is in. Lmao.

Patrick Mahomes had 3 interceptions tonight. He is not the next Tom Brady no matter how much they say he is better than him. I
highly doubt he will ever break many of Bradys Records.

Tom Brady had winning seasons in 21 of his 22 years he played and only missed the playoffs twice in his whole career!
Of course two of Mahomes INT's were clanked off of his receiver's hands (Kelce on one of them) and the third was a tip and catch by the incoming rusher (a great play). I don't mind the Chiefs blowing it this year, they deserve what they get for their blackening up their roster this year, especially on the O-line. That and Rodent Nagy screwing up the offense.

But hey, all that they need is for the Chargers to lose 3 of their last 5 (conceivable considering their schedule) and the Colts to lose 2 of their final 4 games (likely) and they can still make it!. Wait, the Chiefs would have to win out... never mind :D:D:D

Looks like the ending of the Raiders-Broncos game was massaged to cover the spread:

Saw this. And it was pretty blatant. Legalized sports betting country wide has really screwed things up. That and every other commercial has something to do with Fanduel, MGM, DraftKings or whatever gambling syndicate holds sway where you are.

What a warrior Justin Herbert is out there a week after surgery on his hand. Playing with essentially a soft cast on his left hand.

Lots of good games for our side today. Vikings spanking the Commies 31-0 was my favorite. Great comeback game for JJ McCarthy, TJ Hockenson with a TD, and Andrew Van Ginkel and Harrison Smith each intercepted one of Washington's magical QBs.

Harrison Smith's INT was the 38th of his career, the most among currently active players. Truly a legendary, ageless athlete.
Smith is still playing at a very high level despite being closer to 40 than 30. One of the best safeties of the last 25 years (alongside Weddle).

Rogers is immensely disappointing in his force feeding a truly average player like Metcalf. Force feeding never works well and the Steelers would be a far better offense without it.

Cooper DeJean getting a lot of praise from both Aikman and Buck. He had an INT called back due to penalty and just had a PD covering Ladd McConkey on a third down.

Joe Buck making sure to emphasize cooper dejean is a “SLOT” corner. He’s objectively a top 5 corner in the league

Zach Sieler, one of the premier 3-4 DEs, had a great game. 4 total tackles and 2.5 sacks as the Dolphins beat up on the Jets.

Bonner getting an interception and playing a good deal was big for us. He’s establishing himself as a 3rd White CB in the NFL after the near 30 year blackout.
Grew up between Ann Arbor and East Lansing ... ended up at Ferris State, pound for pound the best program in the state.

Besides Herbert, Dejean and Blankenship, not much to get excited about in this game so far. McConkey being shut out, Shipley has only been in for a handful of plays, 1 reception for 3 yards. Watching Hurts struggle has been fun though.

4th and 4 in OT for the Eagles and the moronic black Chargers defender lines up in the neutral zone and gives the Eagles a fresh set of downs. You cannot make this idiocy up.

I enjoy those white on white WR/CB matchups. Alec Pierce/Riley Moss earlier this season was another good one.

Barkley broke off a long one (I hope CMC gets one, too, he's way overdue) but outside of that he has not looked good the whole season. I understand feeding your bell cow RB that has had insane success in the past but the fact that Shipley can't get 4-8 carries to get going is mind boggling.

Hurts with 4 INTs. Ouch!

I found this to be particularly amusing. That and the play where Hurts had two turnovers all by hisself.
