2025 College Football Week 7

Lutmer is playing cornerback almost exclusively in this first quarter for Iowa against Wisconsin. he’s already got a pass deflection and appeared to force and recover a fumble, but it was overturned upon review.

Aaron Graves pick 6!
it was overturned and ruled down at the half-yard line. Iowa’s defense is looking absolutely DOMINANT in the early going versus the Badgers.

Plenty of good games involving our guys tonight. Iowa-Wisconsin is on, Minnesota is playing, Utah plays tonight, BYU playing now.

San Jose St WR Danny Scudero 43 yard TD catch in the 1st Qtr....
Danny Scudero is having himself a night! in the first half: 6 catches, 151 yards, and 4 touchdowns!

Lutmer recovered another fumble, and this one counts! for some reason, he wasn’t credited with his pass deflection in the box score yet, however. he hasn’t been targeted in the passing game, a loud tribute to the job he’s done on the outside.

......and a four yard carry.....
Sure, play the kid while down 30.
and they’ve given the freshman a lot more carries that’s the reportedly fastest back on the team/upperclassman. if not for the Caste System, none of this would make sense.

Lutmer is playing slot corner now when Iowa goes to the nickel. he’s playing very well.

Leavitt not playing for Az State tonight.
I doubt ASU will even try to throw it much tonight if they are starting Jeff Sims. Safety Nate Ritchie and Nickelback Jackson Bennee may have quiet nights. Bennee will still be featured on offense though.
Edit: Ritchie is out with an injury

Somehow Jeff Sims gets 6 years of eligibility but Allar seems to be tapped out after 4. Can't make this stuff up!

Hoping that WR Ryan Davis has another near double digit reception performance and John Henry Daley tallies up a few sacks.

Reece Vander Zee with a catch for Iowa.
They said he’s been hurt, first game back.....

I was thinking demotion. Good to see.
He and Doll were supposed to crush.

Franklin really made a mistake having Allar play garbage time minutes as a true freshman. Even if Allar was good enough to be on the field, it seems like a very short-sighted decision. Had he played in 4 or less games as a freshman he could have redshirted, which would've given him another year of eligibility.

Vander Zee was reportedly uncoverable in fall practice before the injury. having him back should bring a BIG boost to the Hawkeye passing attack.

hopefully, Brevin Doll will emerge at some point.

Bennee is playing safety for Utah tonight due to Nate Ritchie's injury. Good to see him on the field, but I think he is more suited to be a CB. Not big enough to be a safety.
