6 Conference championship games this weekend

Friday
Troy vs JMU
- Rooting for Troy in this one.

Kennesaw St vs Jacksonville State

North Texas vs Tulane
- Mestemaker and Wyatt Young should provide an offensive showcase.

UNLV vs Boise St

Saturday
BYU vs Texas Tech
- This should be an entertaining game. Tons of White talent for both teams. Texas Tech is a sleeper national championship team as long as Morton stays healthy.

Georgia vs Alabama - Gunner Stockton vs Ty Simpson. Bama Safety Bray Hubbard has been making plays all year and made his presence felt last week in the Iron Bowl win. Ty Simpson hasn't been as sharp the past few games so I would like to see him have a strong performance against UGA.

Indiana vs Ohio St - Game of the day. A matchup of the two heisman favorites - Mendoza and Sayin. Could also be a potential preview of the national championship game.

Duke vs UVA - Going with UVA in the game. Barkate should eclipse 1k yards.

NICE write up LF. Looking forward to tonights North Texas @ Tulane...if the rain hopefully stays away down in NOLA/ Gulf coast
...it could be first team to 50 Wins lol

......can see the Mean Green Fun n Gun QB Drew Mestamaker throwing for 400 and . WR Wyatt Young had one of the Best games 8 - 295 - 2 video game stats few weeks ago . Hopefully the feisty WR Landon Sides puts up some gritty numbers in the Box Score.

And Green Wave QB Jake Retzlaff hit the 100 yard rushing mark

>>>Also another Championship game tonight the Mountain West Conf,,,,,, Boise State vs UNLV.
Nice to finally see WR Chase Pendry getting more opportunity ' .
.... back up QB Max Cutforth continues to improve ; guess starting Mad Maddux Madsen is still injured??
....Hot-shot QB Anthony Colandrea (Virginia transfer) worth a watch as is Safety Jake Pope (UGA/Bama transfer)

Too bad Matthew Sluka left a good thing at UNLV ; and not working out for hi at JMU. But i 'll spot a Black QB if the team is playing 2 White WRs (Braeden Wislowski & Nick DeGennaro )
Upset minded Troy has QB Goose Crowder & WR/ Punt Returner Peyton Higgins

Dual Threat Stat Machine QB Caden Creel (1,245 yards passing / 973 yards RUSHING>>> Should GO OVER 1,000+ in 1st Qtr) leads Jax State ((EDIT just threw INT in the End-zone)) ; along with big WR Bronson Reichsteiner and DB Caleb Nix take on the nearly HBCU Kennesaw State

North Texas craps the bed in this game. The long armed guards on both sides getting Nestemaker crushed constantly having to rush his passes or being forced to run, sacked too many times. Wyatt Young a non factor in this game.

Forgot to add the MAC championship. Much more palatable now that dequan finn quit on the redhawks. They have a promising freshman QB in their now. For WMU Broc Lowry has been a nice dual threat.

Texas Tech WR Cowboy Coy Eakin another TD! 2nd from 28 yards ; nice run after the catch! (no video yet)
Here is the first from 33 yards ; originally ruled out at 1 yard-line
Happy for him he's been quiet the past few Weekly Stat updates

Texas Tech Snow Patrol LBers aka "Stash crew" have been VERY impressive! Roberts almost 3 INTs; Jake Rodriquez Honey-Badger instincts ; John Curry was all over the place earlier too!
+' unsung Hero Safety Cole Wisnewski NICE PBU showing "Range" @ 6'-4" 220

BYU QB Bachmeier not 100% w ankle injury ; back up QB must really be bad not to be given a chance

Curious to see what the NFL thinks of QB Behren Morton. My guess is he will get a senior bowl invite. His only issue is injuries. The Red Raiders defense is easily the most palatable of all projected playoff teams.

LB Ben Roberts with the INT! TT up 21-7

Ben Roberts almost had 3 today. He ende up with 2 interceptions while just missing a third. I was rooting for BYU but the Texas Tech
Defense was all over the field causing 4 turnovers on a very talented BYU Team. The Oline just didn't hold up the whole game.

With BYU losing today the Texas Tech Red Raiders are the Underdog to root for. What a season they have had!

To be fair the Red Raiders aren't underdogs. They have spent $28 million dollars in NIL money. With that said they are somewhat unique as their success is due to a combination of homegrown talent and paying of players to play for the program. This year they are certainly palatable though.

3 Star back up UGA WR Cole Speer with the Blocked Punt deep in Bama territory !

AI Overview

Yes, while Cole Speer earned an actual scholarship offer from Georgia after impressing at a camp, he initially came to UGA as a sought-after prospect and quickly became a key contributor, especially on special teams, making significant plays like a blocked punt, essentially playing like a star walk-on
who earned his spot through hard work and performance.

Key Details:

  • Offer Received: Speer earned a scholarship offer from Georgia after a strong showing at a UGA camp in 2021, impressing coaches with his speed and athleticism, according to On3 and Online Athens.
  • Became a Star: He developed into a valuable player, dominating all four phases of special teams and earning a role at wide receiver, notes DawgNation.
  • Highlight Play: He recently made headlines with a blocked punt for the Bulldogs, showcasing his impact as a "WALK ON" (even though he had an offer, his impact mirrors that of top walk-ons), as noted by RustyMansell_ on X.

RB Cash Jones nice 14 yard catch

Even with their enormous budget, I find myself cheering for them. The power of having overachievers.

Georgia’s honkeys chipping in with some big plays!

Nice block by Speer and Jones looks very explosive.

@Jimmy Chitwood

Mikey Munn had 2 INTs today in the FCS playoffs against Mercer

South Dakota QB Aidan Bouman should be getting an NFL look too. Huge kid, son of former NFL QB Todd Bouman
Thanks to Jimmy C for putting us on to CB Mickey Munn

FCS Montana State beat Yale 21 - 13 ...led by RB Adam Jones 107 YARDS RUSHING on 18 carries & TD + 2 rec for 34 yards
Go to 1:00min VIDEO ..33 Yard TD Run

RB Luke Yoder (from Palm Harbor FL) season came to and end with 11 carries for 80 Yards . WHY did he not get more carries today ?(other RB 14 carries just 43 yards) Yoder Finished season w 1,329 yards rushing & 15 TDs
Villanova knocked off #5 Lehigh 14 - 7

UGA just went up 21 - 0 vs Alabama 3rd Qtr...WR London Humphries GREAT BLOCK to spring the RB for TD
