Yes I did and then some. I must be getting old. I fell asleep and didn't know until this morning. Flagg has shown he can score and has a good all round game. I'm hoping he gets a little better with the 3. I know he's only 18 and has a long way to go, but if he can get to Larry Bird status I'd be happy. You got your wish! Cooper Flagg scored a career high 42 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists 1 steal & 2 blocked shots! What a night for the kid!
The Utah Jazz did beat the Mavs and I'm happy as they have been really struggling alot.
For the Jazz Lauri Markannen had 33 points while 2nd year pro Kyle Flipkowski had 25 points!
Been following the Grizzlies to see how breakout player Cam Spencer has been doing. He’s starting now, likely due to injury, but great nonetheless. Tonight he had a double-double running the offense (19 points and 11 assists). Since the calendar turned over to December, Cam has averaged 19.4 ppg and 5.8 apg with absurd shooting percentages. 68% from the field, 66.7% from 3 and 100% from the charity stripe.Pat Spencer started again, last night, even with Curry and Butler back from injury. Spencer scored 12 points. Young Brandin Podziemski seems to have lost his spot, for now, which is not ideal. Dutch center Quinten Post also started for Golden State and added 16 points.
Pat's younger brother, Cam Spencer (Memphis), had a perfect night shooting 6-6 from 3, added 2-2 FT's. 20 point night on only six shots!
Would be great to see both at All-Star weekend. High-flying Pat in the the slam-dunk contest. And non-dunker Cam in the 3-point contest. Pat actually was at last year's All-Star weekend -- starting on the D-League All-Stars (at age 28), along with young Reed Sheppard and McClung, who should also be in the dunk contest. As the 3rd overall pick (rookie year), Sheppard being on the D-League team had to be a bit of insult![]()

Other than Spencer, Spaniard Santi Aldama went off the 37 points and 10 rebounds.
Other standouts from other games include Reed Shepard with 28, Payton Pritchard with 33 and Sandro Mamukelashvili with 24.
Yet the NBA wants us to believe that Mac McClung cannot duplicate what Reed Shepard and Payton Pritchard do at the same size.
Good post TT. I've been seeing more of Kolak and Spencer as well. How Sheppard is not starting, I'll never know.Freethinker put forth a solid list of players that have broken out recently, two of which you highlighted above. W.L., another White player is starting to generate a "buzz" in the last week and he also fits the "McClung" prototype -- in terms of size. That's New York Knicks token White Tyler Kolak, who is suddenly getting great press. Kolek, a very rare Rhode Island native in the NBA, was an absolute superstar in college, but, as expected (for obvious reasons), dropped into round 2 of the draft.
Last year, with a veteran White-cuck head coach he received the "McClung" treatment. Basically, if he ever went into game and got "posted up" (and scored on) by a much taller guard, he'd be relegated to the bench for a week. Just a stupid way to coach, as no player is ever going to be anywhere close to 100% stout on defense.
Other quick points:
Been some debate whether Payton Pritchard is Eurasian. Upon a Google A.I. search that does not seem to be the case. Both parents are White. Might have some slight Northern (Norway, Finland?) or Eastern European blood on mom's side, which might account for the slight almond shaped eyes.
Freethinker, make no mistake about it, Connecticut does not win back-to-back titles without Cam Spencer. No way! And it wasn't only his scoring and shooting, it was the tenacious defense he played. He might not be able to "jump", like older brother Pat. But he is a great athlete.
.... By the way, "legendary" @ss clown Jim Buffoon (aka Calhoun) would've never allowed Spencer on his teams during his long tenure. So, good riddance to that idiot. His reputation was so stained by his thuggish, all-black teams (DWF's dubbed them the UConvicts) that even woeful Boston College would not touch him when he was unemployed. He had to coach his all-black thugs at like the D-2 or D-3 level (American U.?)
Finally, as well as Cooper Flagg is playing, his good friend Kon Knueppel might be doing better. Clearly #'s 1 and 2 in the rookie of the year race, right now?
Ball being a complete non-factor as a shooter doesn't help Kon's cause. Pistons put Ausar Thompson on Kon, and whoever was guarding Ball could shade him.Good post TT. I've been seeing more of Kolak and Spencer as well. How Sheppard is not starting, I'll never know.
In regards to Flagg/Knueppel. Knueppel got off to a quick start as the Mavs thrust an 18 old Flagg into the starting PG position on a bad team. Knueppel is also a little older by about 2 years. Since Flagg has moved to his more natural small forward position, I believe he's played as well as Knueppel overall. Clearly Knueppel is the better 3 point shooter, but Flagg is the better defender.
Hopefully as Flagg gets older he will begin to learn and make his team better. He's a great passer and can block shots, but greatness will come as he can become the team leader and make Dallas a serious playoff contender as Larry Bird did. We have to remember Bird was 23 when came into the NBA, Flagg should be a freshman in college right now. Love seeing him breaking some of LeBron's records, but typically, because he is white, it's been ignored/suppressed somewhat!
Flagg- 18.8/6.4/3.5/1.3/0.8
Knueppel-`19.4/5.4/3.6/0.8/.03
ROY will be close. It's been great to watch!
