Since 2006 Oklahoma has started 3, 5, 6, 7, 5, 6, 4, 3,3, 3, 5, 4, 3, 3, 2, 3, 5 and 7 whites. They bump to an all-time high of 9 this year. Brent Venables's Sooners enter the SEC this year behind a new face in starting QB Jackson Arnold. The super talented QB will have high expectations, and Oklahoma should actually be one of the whitest teams in the SEC this year along with Vanderbilt and Arkansas.
Aside from Arnold, OU features some unreal TE depth including transfers Bauer Sharp and Jake Roberts and a 4/5 white OL. Drake Stoops has graduated and his apparent heir Gavin Freeman transferred to in-state rival OSU leaving the WR scene pretty bare. On defense, star LB Danny Stutsman returns for his SEC debut and should be one of the more popular defensive faces in CFB, joining him are transfer DE Caiden Woullard and returning starter Ethan Downs. All three have NFL potential. The overall defensive depth is not as good in recent years, and it appears that DII All-American Konnor Near who was a back up last year has transferred with no commitment, and athletic freak LB Jaren Kanak has tumbled down the depth chart after initial bursting on the scene early.
