You have to love old school football in a blizzard with 2 teams that we love!
Well said.

I hate to say it, but it seems our guys just cannot stay healthy. Given the low percentages of whites allowed to thrive at these positions, it doesn’t bode well to crush the narrative of white men being weaker to have so many injuries.Looking like a disaster week for us. Taysom Hill has some kind of knee injury and now CMC heads to the lacker room.
That is at least good news. Part of me just wishes he would shut it down at this point and come back next year healthy. The 49ers aren’t going anywhere this season.McCaffrey officially questionable with a knee injury. Rules out the Achilles. ACL is also unlikely given his unassisted walk to the locker room. Cautiously optimistic.
The offensive line could use some help as well. Would be nice to see them add a bulldozer to open up those run lanes for McCaffrey. I’m predicting a big year from him next year as he will be healthy.49ers defense is dogshit without Bosa. Plenty of White talent in the upcoming draft to fill in voids the 49ers have - interior DL, LB (Warner is a very good one but the depth stinks) and DB help.
That's been true this season, I've never seen anything like it. Our guys on both offense and defense keep getting injured, usually seriously. Only the QBs are mostly staying healthy. As I wrote this morning in this thread referring to all the White LBs who have been going down one after another, it's been disappointing to see.I hate to say it, but it seems our guys just cannot stay healthy. Why shut them down? They've only lost Aiyuk and maybe McCaffrey again. Bosa has only missed two games and should be back. Even if they lose this game they'll still be just two games out of first place in a tightly bunched division. There's lots of injuries every year, there's no guarantee they'd be significantly healthier "waiting till next year." I've heard of players often being shut down, but an entire team? Don't think that would go over too well with the organization's fan base and likely a lot of the players as well.I agree it's time to shut it down for the 49ers. The core nucleus of the team will be back and they have cap space if Purdy wants to get paid (he deserves it, but I'm selfishly hoping he runs it back on the rookie deal).
It is a frustrating season. I know we often say that around here, but this year started out with some hope - at least for me.That's been true this season, I've never seen anything like it. 49ers have a lot of talent, but some key areas are poor (namely defensive backfield and offensive line, while the defensive line is also subpar outside of Bosa).I wish Shanahan would just use Juczyk more the rest of the reason. Get create with play calling and use of personnel. At least Pearsall will get experience in the final stretch of the season. The NFC West is still a winnable division. The 49ers much like the Bengals had bad drafts this year and the lack of talent and depth shows.
All he has to do is look back on the Bill Walsh playbook. Rathman had 75 plus receptions in a season. A full back in the flat and then cutting in is pretty much unrecoverable.I wish Shanahan would just use Juczyk more the rest of the reason. Get create with play calling and use of personnel.
