with all due respect, Rex Ryan got them to 2 AFC title games while Gase and Saleh were winning around 25-30% of their games. What Ryan accomplished was a miracle considering the Jets history.Aaron Glenn seems competent, at least he seemed a good fit with Dan Campbell, intense and demanding. He deserves a shot at being a head coach as much if not more than the White Caste Clowns who are regurgitated around the league until they finally fail so decisively that they run out of chances. Can Glenn be any worse than Rex Ryan, Adam Gase, and Robert Saleh? The only Jets head coach of note in recent years was Eric Mangini and he ran out of chances because he wasn't a Caste Clown.
The Jets went 46-50 under Ryan; it was after Ryan that the team became wretched again. Before and during Ryan they were an average, mediocre team -- 23-25 under Mangini, 39-41 under Herm Edwards, and 9-7 under Al Groh. Before Groh was Bill Parcells who led them to a 29-19 record. Ryan got the Jets to the playoffs a couple of times but the overall result was in line with the team's long run of mediocrity and worse.with all due respect, Rex Ryan got them to 2 AFC title games while Gase and Saleh were winning around 25-30% of their games.
