2024 Memphis Tigers

Since 2005 the Memphis Tigers have started 6, 8, 9, 5, 4, 4, 6, 7, 4, 6, 7 6, 6, 5, 5, 4, 2, 4 and 4 whites. The Tigers are projected to start 5 Whites in 2024.

QB Seth Henigan has been consistently excellent in his 3 years as starting QB. He started as a true freshman in 2021 and has put up great numbers and lead Memphis to a 10-3 record in 2023. He probably has an extra year of eligibility after this season so it will be interesting to see if he transfers to a bigger program in 2025 or goes to the NFL.

Players to watch are QB Cade Cunningham, TE Brenden Doyle, LB Matt Hudson, LB Brett Karhu

But they is in such a talent rich area, full of upsiders! Maybe one day they’ll learn their assignments and how to tackle.

Defense aside, which appears to have a strict no-Whites policy no matter how wretched they perform, this is actually the first year I may check a Memphis boxscore or two. Can’t remember a White WR / TE starting combo in forever.
