True, no lies detected. Our HS had one that ran great routes made a few circus catches but if the ball came to him perfectly you knew it would hit the ground and still they claimed he was getting "looks" from the Saturday teams.
Sounds about right! Coaches believe they can coach up athletes, but kinda hard to coach a guy to catch the ball. Either got it or you don’t. Willing to look other way for routine drops because of the upside plays.

Sounds like Pacheco is back this week. Will Steele go to the practice squad?
No way Steele would clear waivers to be resigned to the practice squad. Fortunately he's carved out a large role as a WSTD. He's the time-sharer with Perine at the moment. He will also get lots of traditional battering ram looks.

Kelce moved into a T-15 on the all-time receptions list after catching 7 passes Friday night. With 982 career receptions, he is tied with Randy Moss. Should get to 1,000 receptions this year.

Committing to the obvious is one of the reasons the Chiefs excel in a league filled with dunderhead coaches who couldn't imagine playing someone with "short arms" over one with "long arms":

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports the Chiefs plan to start Joe Thuney at LT in Saturday’s AFC Divisional Round game against the Texans. According to Fowler, tackle D.J. Humphries is healthy, but the team was impressed with how Thuney filled in at tackle earlier this season. In his three starts at left tackle, Thuney allowed 14 pressures and no sacks and didn’t surrender a single pressure in Week 17’s win over the Steelers, per PFF. Taking a “ride the hot hand” approach, the Chiefs will hope Thuney can continue his impressive play against Will Anderson and the Texans’ defensive front.

Great news and good on the Chiefs for buckin' the prevailing norms.

From what I see, this slides White athlete Mike Caliendo into the starting LG spot. This bumps the line to 3/5 White and an extra overachiever starting overall.
