Since 2006 10,9,9,8,7,9,8,8,8,7,6,7,6,5, 6, 6, 7 and 3 White athletes have started for the Zips. In 2024 the Zips are projected to start 4.

Akron is a MAC team heavily recruiting outside of it's geographic footprint. Some of these are transfers (QB Ben Finley CA and one White OL from GA) but honestly why is the MAC looking to these states for scrub black players and ignoring the Midwest pipeline that sustained the MAC over the years. It's not like bringing in all of these blacks is making Akron any better. They have been one of the worst FBS teams with only one winning season and one .500 record since 2006. Since 2019 they have an 0-12, 1-5 and three consectuive 2-10 seasons with very black rosters.
