Throughout this century Rice has averaged about 10-11 lunch pail starters every year. Like most clubs, there seems to be a recent dip. I see 9 this year.....

JT Daniels at QB
Dean Connors RB
Luke McCaffrey WR. The three of these guys makes Rice a team worth watching.

Plus 3/5 at the O Line

Clay Servia T
Brant Banks G
Braedon Nutter C
Jack Bradley TE

Coleman Coco DE
Chris Conti LB

A few backups I noticed were:

AJ Padgett QB
Rawson MacNeill WR
Geron Hargon FB
Blake Boenish DL

**Since 2005, Rice has started 14, 14, 8, 10, 11, 10, 12, 14, 11, 10, 12, 9, 10, 12, 10 and 12 and 9 whites. In 2022 I believe they started 9.

Rice seems to be employing the “Patriot’s Model” from peak dynasty days. Almost entirely White offense, including skill guys and a couple of Whites on defense. Not a bad model at all. Hope it results in success and curious to see how Connors performs, as he’s a starting RB I was unaware of.

I always root for Rice. Usually they stink. But this years squad seems like it has potential.
