Patrick Peterson just got beat by Purdy. Peterson was talking typical trash leading up to the game, looks like Purdy remembered.

49ers offense is a well oiled machine. Great wide, receivers, great, all-around, tight end, the best fullback in the game and the best all-around running back in the game now top it off with a fantastic second year quarterback who plays like a seasoned veteran.

They may be my favorite offense to watch. They lack a White WR but Trent Taylor would be their starting slot receiver if he hadn't been injury prone, while CMac, Juice, Kittle and Purdy are fun to watch.
Perhaps favorite team to watch as Bosa dominating while being hated for being conservative makes up for such a caste defense.

TJ Watt with the sack, first positive play for the Steelers in the game so far, Purdy makes a great play to not lose the ball after the sack.

Dennis Gardeck forces the fumble on Howell, Cameron Thomas recovers and scored the TD.

These early games are mostly atrocious and making me not "ready for some football".

Baltimore vs Houston. Yuck. The 2 black quarterbacks are revolutionizing the position by neither throwing for 100 yards at the half. Exactly the same can be typed for Carolina vs Atlanta. Burrow even stinking it up with Watson in the Cinci vs Cleveland game. Tannehill and Carr are starting slow in their matchup. T Lawrence looks fine and Richardson as been passable, except he's targeted Pittman and Pierce (his top receivers) once each. Could be a long season for them. Washington is losing to the putrid Cardinals. At least Cameron Thomas scored a TD on a fumble. Kirk Cousins and Purdy look fantastic. They seem to be the only ones.

Maybe its not a good idea to sit these guys for all 3 preseason games.....

In many cases the first two weeks seem to be an aberration. That has been my observation over the years. Some teams look great and others sloppy but then as the season progresses we see alot of the teams that won the first two weeks of the season look absolutely awful.

I do wish they would quit pounding him up the A gap when everyone and their mother knows that is what they are going to do.

Give Juice or Mitchell a couple of those carries.

TJ Watt might be the best defender in the league when healthy. Not quite the game-wrecker his older brother was but darn close. It is great to be able to have seen two sets of dominant pass-rushing brother in JJ and TJ and Joey and Nick play during this era.

Four of the best of the last decade plus.

Bryan Bresee with a half sack, a couple tackles and 2 QB hits so far in his debut. He will be an elite DT in this league soon. All the tools to be an all star.

Werner picking up where he left off. He is all over the field making tackles, pressuring the QB and deflecting a pass already.
