Henry and Gesicki are both real good TE’s, if the Pats run the offense that they ran with Gronk and Hernandez they could be a force. They need to a a “welker” to the offense now!

Poor draft and a very meh free agency other than Reiff and Gesicki from our perspective means our once perennial favourite is again not one cheer unless you are a diehard like some of us lol.

Gesicki for Smith
Reiff for Wynn

That's an increase of two as it stands on the starters for this year but alot of time left. Not much white depth to push alot of other starters.

Some of our guys like Kyle Dugger (a quality player imo)our very good tbf like on other teams there will be and we should be honest and fair when discussing the issues of under white representation.

But as we all say on here should be alot more white players in a fair world which we must keep highlighting and fighting to win support from people to make a change

Laughable as this guy is just another body. Not an overly effective player but thinks he is worth more than he is. Also saw that the Louisville quota is trying to emulate Julian Edelman in a position switch from QB. The genius is outsmarting himself again. here.
I was under the impression that it was insulting, foolish, and indeed racist to ask a black quarterback about changing positions, at least since Bill Polian was roasted for sharing his Lamar Jackson scouting report as a commentator in 2018. Perhaps UDFA Malik Cunningham thought of the idea himself. This week, apparently.

This begs the question: why was Cunningham signed, exactly? Mac Jones and Bailey Zappe both have deceptive athleticism, but neither are prolific scramblers. What sort of understudy to them could the 5'11, 187 lb. Cunningham ever be?

Belichick has had a defensive coordinator calling his offense, a special teams coordinator coaching his defense, and his sons coaching position groups. Maybe his 'war room' has its signals all crossed up, too.

With all respect to Jones (and Zappe), the Patriots are a pretty loathsome team right now. For me, it was a combo of benching Chase Winovich and rolling (out of the pocket, again and again) with Cam Newton well past his expiration date that ruined the last of New England's Brady mystique. They will need a significant roster overhaul before I'll be able to muster up any rooting interest.

With preseason in the books and cut down over the next 48 hours be interesting to see how the Patriots end up numbers wise.

Probably better than last year but not much at the Caste positions - my bet would be 14 whites on the roster.

QB - Jones and Zappe
TE - Henry and Gesicki
OL - Reiff, Andrews, Strange, McDermott and Jake Andrews.
LB - Munson
S - Schooler
Specialists - P Baringer K Ryland and LS Cardona

Cody Davis will probably be activated on PUP at some point at safety for special teams and they may keep Firsker or Sokol at TE but they will make it through waivers so probably can be promoted from practice squad when needed.

Nothing like the good old days of Woodhead Welker Amendola Edelman etc

I love this line: "Maybe Bill Belichick can figure out how to unlock his untapped upside moving forward." Yes, because The Genius has the worst record in league history when it comes to spotting and developing Black receivers drafted in the early rounds.

Patriots signed WR Jalen Reagor to the practice squad. Reagor cleared waivers early Thursday and was promptly signed by the Patriots to the practice squad. The former first-round wide receiver signed with the Vikings for the 2022 season after being released by the Eagles, but managed just eight receptions for 104 yards and one touchdown while primarily contributing as a kick returner. Maybe Bill Belichick can figure out how to unlock his untapped upside moving forward.

It’s the gift that keeps giving. The lie of “upside”

Smh it was obvious from his rookie year this guy didn’t belong in the nfl. Another example of social proofing in the nfl gross

Can't argue that bill is a great coach especiecially defensively but his recognition and development of early round talent is terrible so not a great pairing!

Belichick needs to trade himself to the Bills lol. He’s the worst gm in the nfl and needs a reset. The bills hc does nothing for me I think Belichick could get Josh Allen a sb ring

The 2023 Patriots are a pale shadow of the glory days of Brady and his white receiving juggernaut.

The once perennial caste favourites are now no more.

Mac Jones kept the starting job in camp and looks set for a much better season under offensive coordinator Bill O'brien.

Matt Corral was also claimed off waivers from Carolina and will act as long term back up although Zappe will most likely be activated to the 53 from practice squad in the first few weeks.

Whilst we lack any white players at wide reciever, expect plenty of two tight end sets with Hunter Henry and the new signing Mike Gesicki from the Dolphins replacing the horrendously awful Jonnu Smith.

The offensive line features left guard Cole Strange the 2022 first round pick and perennial elite starter David Andrews a long stay at Centre. Also on the depth chart is Jake Andrews the long term replacement for David Andrews and fourth rounder from Troy this draft.

Defense is bare with no starters or depth on the 53 other than safety Brendan Schooler who will play special teams. Looks like an elite special teamer.

Chad Ryland and Bryce Barringer will kick and punt both rookies drafted. Joe Cardona will snap he is the highest paid in the league and quality.

There are a number of whites on the practice 16 man roster but none of any note who will get any playing time other than the aforementioned Zappe.

Very disappointing roster really.

Would be two more roster players probably Reiff the starter at right tackle but he is on minimum four week injured reserve and Connor Mcdermott on season ending injury.

Roster

QB - Jones and Corral
TE - Henry and Gesicki
OL - Andrews, Strange and Jake Andrews.
S - Schooler
Specialists - P Baringer K Ryland and LS Cardona

Thanks Woody for the update.

Really pathetic what "The Genius" is trotting out now. 11 Whites total, of which 3 are the kicker, punter and long snapper. Back in the glory days, they'd basically start 11 Whites (9 or 10 on offense & 1 or 2 on defense). Every year post-Brady, The Genius is tarnishing his legacy. He should retire before it becomes obvious to all that he's a hack who lucked into having the GOAT for 2 decades.

I want to be fair to Belichick bc at one point he was the only coach in the league to play a majority of white skill players and Brady doesn’t become Brady without him. He won 2 sb vs rams only scoring 13 points each time. The defense shut down Manning in 03 and 04. The sb vs falcons Belichick’s defense only gave up 21 points to a team averaging over 33, and it was the offense that laid an egg vs the giants both times. That’s why im so disappointed in how he turned his back on what worked and has become another run of the mill caste cuck. I just wish he would get out of his own way as a gm and go back to what worked. If the patriots went back to a snowplow line and a couple white skill players with mac jones as qb i have no doubt they would compete for a championship. Unfortunately i don’t think that’s going to happen and he is going to continue to ruin his legacy

Matt Corral looks like he has been released and Bailey Zappe resigned to the 53 roster, makes sense. Knows the playback and has a relationship with the recievers etc however seemed odd move to start with must of damaged his confidence and belief.

Lol Genius at it again. He made two unnecessary moves to get back to where he was. I’m telling ya guys. I really think Brady had a lot of roster sway. Kinda like Peyton did in Indy. And well we all see how that’s working out for The Colts…

Yep, I’m pretty much convinced at this point too. Bill B was a failed coach before Brady and is becoming a failed coach again afterwards.

Nice comparison of Brady to Manning and his personnel choices. Makes sense to me. I do have to give some credit to Polian as well.

I believe that’s the type of sway Rodgers dreamed of in GB lol.

Belichick has two sons on his coaching staff. It’s complete speculation, but possible that setting them up for success is Bill’s most important personal project. A big part of that is not rocking any boats. Bill made his money and won his rings: what’s the upshot to bucking league-wide trends of anti-whiteness in a noticeable way?

That's right and it's true of every team. It's a lose-lose situation and until that changes no one will buck it. We did have a decade or so to enjoy a "throwback" team, at least on offense, something I certainly didn't expect to see again, and it provided a lot of great memories.

Also a lot of ammo for CF's basic positions about how Whites are treated by the NFL and sports and media in general, but as with the several White QBs who were singled out and castigated by a former poster for not advocating on behalf of White players, it's a top-down system and anyone who challenges it in a noticeable way will be dealt with one way or another from those at the top. No different than what's being done politically and through the "justice" system to the prominent opponents of the senile puppet in the White House.

It would be great if a guy like Elon Musk is openly challenging the ADL in the social media realm drew some attention to the more egregious anti-white discrimination in sports.

I have no clue if he ever will or not, but it would remarkable if he did.
