Tuesday night football again!

Undefeated Liberty hosts Middle Tennessee State tonight as 14.5 point favorites. Both teams start ~4 whites (but black quarterback for Liberty, so...)

Western Kentucky travels to Jacksonville State (Alabama) as 8.5 point favorites. Both teams start ~6 whites.

---

The big weekend game is Ohio State hosting Penn State; two of the last eleven unbeaten teams. The Buckeyes are actually a bit more palatable with its white defenders. Both McCord and Allar are still getting acclimated and will probably end up as multi-year starters.

Duke is 14 point underdogs in Tallahassee against Florida State. This is likely the toughest remaining test for the Seminoles.

---

Getting ahead of ourselves, here are the remaining schedules for the eleven unbeaten teams:

  • Georgia: Bye, Florida (neutral), Missouri, Ole Miss, at Tennessee, and at Georgia Tech.
  • Michigan: Michigan State, bye, Purdue, at Penn State, at Maryland, and Ohio State.
  • Ohio State: Penn State, at Wisconsin, at Rutgers, Michigan State, Minnesota, and at Michigan.
  • Penn State: at Ohio State, Indiana, at Maryland, Michigan, Rutgers, and at Michigan State.
  • Florida State: Duke, at Wake Forest, at Pitt, Miami, North Alabama, and at Florida.
  • Oklahoma: UCF, at Kansas, at Oklahoma State, West Virginia, at BYU, and TCU.
  • Washington: Arizona State, at Stanford, at USC, Utah, at Oregon State, and Washington State.
  • North Carolina: Virginia, at Georgia Tech, Campbell, Duke, at Clemson, and at NC State.
  • Air Force: at Navy, at Colorado State, Army, at Hawaii, UNLV, and at Boise State.
  • James Madison: at Marshall, Old Dominion, at Georgia State, UConn, Appalachian State, and at Coastal Carolina.
  • Liberty: Middle Tennessee State, at Western Kentucky, Louisiana Tech, Old Dominion, UMass, and at UTEP.

If Alabama can oust Georgia in the SEC championship game, would undefeated Oklahoma, Florida State, Washington, and a Big Ten team keep the SEC out of the playoff? Would ESPN allow it?

MTSU has actually been decent to watch with Justin Olson and Holden Willis trading off weeks serving as a primary receiver in the offense. Hope they both get 600+ yards receiving on the year at least.

Good question on ESPN allowing a non-SEC final four in the playoff. Still alot of games left to be played. The remaining undefeated Big Ten teams face a tougher stretch of competition collectively in the second half of the season including each team facing each other.

UNC has a a fairly easy second half of the season and could pose a threat to FSU who should at least get scares from Miami and Florida. My guess is if either of these teams runs the table and wins the ACC championship they are in. UNC making a run should greatly elevate awareness around Drake Maye at the national level.

Oklahoma should win out - pretty easy scheduled.

Washington - I hate their QB but that goes without saying. Utah is the biggest threat because they actually play defense. PAC 12 is a joke though when it comes to defense overall probably worse than the Big 12 this year. Good riddance to that conference!

Other games this weekend:

RB Alex Tecza and Navy host undefeated #22 Air Force (noon, CBS).

Iowa is just 3.5 point home favorites against 3-3 Minnesota (3:30pm, NBC). Iowa might be favored for the rest of its regular season, but they're always going to have a tough time scoring points. Brian Ferentz gets plenty of justifiable criticism, but it's worth noting that Iowa is now down its starting QB and top two TEs with season-ending injuries. They could finish 11-1 while averaging 20 ppg...

After losing a close one to Colorado, white-friendly Colorado State has turned things around and will try to get over .500 against surprising anti-white success story UNLV (7pm, Mountain West Network lol).

Clemson will be slight favorites in Miami (8pm, ACC Network lol). The inept Hurricanes defense could be ripe for Klubnik and Shipley to put up some overdue big numbers.

UCLA goes to Stanford for the night game (10:30pm, ESPN) that should feature some white players scoring touchdowns.

if Iowa averages 20 ppg, that means their offense is gonna get better this season. Lol. if you take into account points scored by their defense and special teams (which you obviously did), they might average 20 points, but their offense has only been good for about one score per game of late. heck, at one point, they had gained a TOTAL of 3 yards over six consecutive possessions. a TOTAL of 3 yards. ouch!

the new qb doesn’t look good, the running back tandem is above average (i’d like to see the kick returner get a shot, as well; that dude is QUICK), the o-line is strong but not dominant, the receivers are dreadful, and their tight ends are injury-depleted but still likely the deepest skill unit on offense.

why not just go all power football and trot out 3 tight ends and a fullback (or 4 tight ends) on every snap? run right at people (which is all you can do anyway) or motion in a massive way to set up mismatches. it seems too simple

Rice Vs Tulsa tonight. Good caste matchup. I’m eager to see Daniels, Connor, McCaffrey and company put on a show.

Marshall Vs James Madison is also on. Not much to cheer for skill positions wise there. But go James Carpenter! Athletic and undersized DT(6’2 282)! Had an amazing INT last week, and he also has 30 tackles and 3.5 sacks on the year.

Not if Alabama is one loss Sec champion and in no world should the sec champ be left out if they have only one loss. Nonetheless Oklahoma would be our best representative it appears.

Connors has a pretty solid shot at reaching 1000 total yards this season. He's been a nice out of nowhere surprise for Rice. They also have a big freshman WR Rawson MacNeil that has put together a strong season to this point.

please see my post in the “2023 defensive backs” thread to examine an outstanding example of the Caste System that is personified in this Rice-Tulsa game.

Just saw it. Another great example of the caste system in action.

Connors took off from the 4 yard line to get the TD in the air!

pretty good looking leaderboard for Rice tonight: leading passer, rusher, receiver, and tackler are all of the overachieving, blue collar & hard hat wearing variety.

Another TD for Connors. Three total...

Minimal carries, but 100+ yards.

Rice delivered! Best looking squad they have had in a while! Even on Defense they have a couple of Italians in Coco and Conti!

with his performance tonight, one wonders how Dean Connors was such an unheralded recruit … i mean, at 6-feet tall and 200 lbs, he seems to be plenty big. he ran a 10.84 100-meters in high school, so he’s obviously plenty fast (although he runs too upright for my liking). how did he “slip through the cracks” of so many programs and end up having to play at a junior college? obviously it wasn’t grades, or he couldn’t have ended up at Rice, so what could it have been …

possibly the only legitimate (non-Caste System reason) is that he played a Covid-shortened season as a high school senior. but really, 10.84 speed at that size doesn’t grow on trees, and don’t all coaches allegedly “covet speed?”

Was impressed with the TEs as well! Good looking team. Right now Connors is sitting around 600 all purpose yards. 1k is definitely within reach.

I watched most of the Rice game....Great plays by Luke and DConnors.
Marshall started Ethan Payne at RB. Their starter must be banged up.
He’s around 20-60.....tough sledding, I don’t think their black quarterback is upper tier, but I didn’t watch much....Don’t have Amazon here at the in-laws house.....Can’t watch Jags/Saints

10.84 is decent for a 100m but I'd like to know his 40 and 3cone times as he is extremely agile and very very quick. I do agree he runs abit too upright needs to sit his hips down a bit.
