Chet Holmgren of the OKC Thunder just missed a triple double the hard way tonight. He had 17 points, 11 rebounds and 9 blocked shots!
The Thunder needed all of it to barely beat the Jazz 118-117. Jokic had 24 points, 12 assists and 6 rebounds for the Nuggets.

For Basketball Fans it's Monday Night Basketball with Nikola Jokic vs Luka Doncic. If the football game puts you to sleep switch
over to the Nuggets vs the Mavs! As of today Doncic is leading the NBA MVP Race but it's way to early to focus on that.

Luka had 28 points in the first half....
Denver is winning......Better team.
Luka can’t do it all by himself.

The Detroit Pistons have lost 24 games in a row and are 2-25 on the season. At the beginning of the year, Monty Williams was given the largest head coaching contract in NBA history to join the Pistons. Nothing against Williams personally, but this is a clear case of #blackprivilege.

Well at one point they were 2-1 so maybe they figured they had a strong start, stick with guy

Tyler Herro is averaging 26.5 points on 57% shooting in 2 games since returning from injury, including a 28-point performance (4/5 3pt) last night. This kid is only 23 and at 6'5" is versatile enough to play multiple positions on or off the ball. He has the potential to be a top 5 guard in the league, but that hasn't stopped him from being relegated to the bench for much of his career. With Jimmy Butler aging, I believe Herro will have a breakout season with the Heat who feature 4 whites in the rotation. Definitely a team and a player to keep an eye on this season.

Luka is at 9950 career points, so he’ll cross 10,000 in the next couple games. Amazing for only age 24. He’s also averaging career highs in points, 3 point percentage, FT percentage, and assists this season.

Exactly what many of us have been saying. Yet the lame stream media and fans act like he is worthless. If it wasn't for Tyler Herro's white skin he would have 5 to 10 teams fighting to sign the kid to a long term contract. I was really hoping he would go to Utah. I like rooting for the Miami Heat but still don't trust that they really appreciate the talent of this kid. Look what they have done to Nivola Jokic. Very sad.

How are you coming up with all this negative black-pill nonsense about Tyler Herro? Who thinks he’s worthless? Every article I’ve seen about him has been positive and complimentary. His name had come up over the summer during trade talks involving Damian Lillard, but ultimately nothing happened. If Portland didn’t want him, that’s great! A once nice city ruined by leftists and a franchise with virtually zero history of being white-friendly, other than a brief period in the 70s with Bill Walton.

The Miami Heat are a great franchise when it comes to white players, They drafted Herro, done a great job developing him, he won 6th man of the year in ‘21-22, and is now a starter. They signed him to a 4-year, $130 million dollar contract last season, what more do you want? He’s only 23 and if he lives up to his potential as an elite player, he’ll sign a max deal in a couple of years, He’s had a bad run of luck with injuries lately, first with last year’s playoffs and now missed over a month this season. Otherwise he’d be well on his way to his first alll-star appearance.

The Heat also brought in Duncan Robinson and Max Struss, let them develop and contribute, and both have been rewarded with handsome contracts and hopefully many more years of playing in this league, They’ve also drafted Jaquezz Jr who’s having a great rookie season and on his way to being a solid pro.

Jovic is in a great spot and perfect position to develop as an NBA player. He’s only 20 years old and his time will come, the Heat’s track record speaks for itself.

I have to agree with White Lightning. I followed the Dame trade saga very closely last summer and the DWF were trashing Herro throughout all of it. They kept saying he “sucks” and how ridiculous it was for Miami to think they could trade him for Dame straight up. It was very disrespectful to Herro and only happened because of his race. He’s a 20 ppg scorer as a 3rd option, he’s only 23, and on a relatively good contract. Meanwhile Dame is 33, on one of the worst contracts in the league, and an awful defender. The DWF would have been saying it’s a great trade if Herro was black

Thanks William_Wallace. Many of the articles said Herro plays no defense as that is the stereotype of white basketball players. Herro
is a much better defender than they give him credit for. On offense he is almost unstoppable.

Tonight Herro had another fine game with 30 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal to help the Heat to another win!

Yeah it’s ridiculous how no matter how good a white player is at defense they’ll still say he’s a bad defender. It’s like they’re just trying to program people. If anything the average white player is better at defense than the average black player because whites actually take their jobs seriously and give full effort on defense . Black players like Dame don’t even try to play defense

It's a sad situation with what the Raptors are doing with Gradey Dick. How do you draft a guy at the number 13 pick of the first round and then just never play the kid? Most nights he sits on the bench and never leaves it. Did they just want him to be a towel boy? It's almost unheard to have that highly ranked a player sit night after night when he is healthy.

Duncan Robinson got his own article on CBSSports. He's gotta be one of our top 'caste-busters' of the year with the way that he's been received for adding dribble-drives to his arsenal. I find it to be a big reminder that "the best players don't necessarily play" and also that the NBA isn't playing black players during 75% of its minutes out of some strife for top quality. It would be great if he won "Most Improved Player" because I certainly don't know of any others!

Duncan Robinson's shooting earned him a $90M contract, but here's what has taken his game to another level

Using the threat of his shot, Robinson has more than doubled his drives per game

The Miami Heat should have their own Hall of Fame devoted to the un-drafted players they've successfully developed over the years. If they did, two names would have their own wing: Udonis Haslem, who is a 305 god, and Duncan Robinson, who went from a Division III college player to a $90 million contract with Miami in the summer of 2021.

Prior to signing that contract, Robinson had turned himself into a starter for a Miami team that played in the Finals and conference finals in consecutive seasons. He had one job: Shoot the lights out. And he did so in earnest, connecting on 43% of his eight-plus 3-pointers per game from 2019-21.

After the contract, things started to decline. At first, it was more subtle; Robinson shot under 40% from the field in the first year of his new deal, but still started 68 games and hit 37% of his 3-pointers. Last season, he fell off a cliff, connecting on just 32% of his 3s and starting just one game as he fell totally out of Erik Spoelstra's rotation.

Now Robinson has risen again.

With last season's starting backcourt of Gabe Vincent and Max Strus, both of whom were also un-drafted players, signing big offseason deals to play with the Lakers and Cavs, respectively, Robinson is back as a core cog in Miami's rotation, averaging over 29 minutes a game with starts in more than half his games -- and he is scorching hot, continuing his career-best campaign with a season-high 27 points in Miami's win over Atlanta on Friday.

Robinson scored 21 of those points in the fourth quarter, becoming just the sixth player to do so this season -- joining Giannis Antetokounmpo, De'Aaron Fox, James Harden, Anfernee Simons and LaMelo Ball. Over three minutes, he scored 11 straight. Predictably, two of those buckets were 3s, but the other two illustrated the legit impact Robinson is having as a downhill scorer this season.

Robinson, using the threat of his shot to generate leverage, has shown an ability to put the ball on the floor before, but he'd never averaged more than 2.0 drives per game. This season he's averaging 5.5 -- putting points on the board on more than 51% of those drives.

Once in the lane, Robinson can finish at the rim, hit runners, and even muscle his defender from time to time, and it's taken him from the one-trick sharpshooter he used to be to a well-rounded scorer who can hurt defenses on multiple levels.

He can turn the corner off DHOs, attack closeouts, and even initiate pick and roll to get downhill. At no point in Robinson's career (other than his rookie season in which he played 13 games as a two-way player) had he taken more than 9% of his shots at the rim; this season 23% of his shots are coming from inside four feet, per Cleaning the Glass.

The tradeoff has come from beyond the arc. Through his first five seasons, he was almost strictly a 3-point shooter, taking more than 80% of his shots from deep. This season that frequency is down to 64% -- still a big number, but again, it's evidence of a less predictable scorer, which makes him a far more complicated cover.
Beyond his scoring, Robinson is averaging a career-high 3.6 assists. That doesn't sound like a big number, but it's 86th percentile among all wings, per CTG, and it illustrates how functional -- and at times downright creative -- Robinson has become with the ball in his hands. The guy has some honest handle and shake to his game, and he's been empowered to use it.

Some of this creative opportunity has been born from necessity. As mentioned, Vincent and Strus are gone and the Heat have been hit pretty hard with injuries. Tyler Herro has missed 19 games. Jimmy Butler and Adebayo have combined to miss 16. Caleb Martin 10.

Robinson, meanwhile, has missed just two games. He's averaging a career-high 15 points on career-best 49/44 shooting splits. With more handling responsibility, he's sporting a 2.5 assist-to-turnover ratio. When he scores at least 20 points, the Heat, who are the most accurate 3-point shooting team in the league in large part because of Robinson, are 7-0.

All told, Miami, which was once again written off as a legit team when Strus and Vincent effectively weren't replaced and the Damian Lillard trade didn't happen, is 17-12 despite all the injuries, and Robinson, who is back to earning that handsome contract, is one of the biggest reasons for that success.

I think KLove turned bitch White Boy after playing 3rd fiddle to Lebitch and Demon Wade. In Minnesota, chubby Kevin Love mopped up the leagues big men! Sad to see this attitude, even among our best.

As great as a player as he was he is far past his prime and just holding on for a paycheck in my opinion. Sadly he has also struggled with
mental health issues since 2018 or probably even earlier than that.
