2022 World Outdoor Season

And I had meant to post earlier this season to note that this truly is the golden age of white American female sprinters.
It started with Jenna Prandini about a decade ago.
Then Hannah Cunliffe came along.
Then Mary Beth Price, followed by Abby Steiner.
All of these women are or have been competitive at the national and international level.
And I expect high school phenom, Mia Brahe-Pederson to join this list in a few years.

Jakob Ingebrigtsen won the silver in the 1500 meters at the 2022 World Championships. It really made him angry as he was the favorite. He was not to be denied over the 5000 meters final. This guy is a living legend and still only 21 years old!

Nice to see the men from Belgium get the bronze in the 4 x 400. They almost caught Jamaica. Of course the US women easily won the 4 x 400 with Abby Steiner

I did not know that 400 meter runner Michael Norman was half Japanese.

Mondo Duplantis has to be the best track and field athlete in the world. All he does is win gold medals at the Olympics and World Championships while setting and resetting more world records than you can count with a calculator. He is simply
the greatest Mens Pole Vaulter in the History of the World. No one else on the planet can match his 6.00 meters and up pole vaults. Mondo rebroke his own world record today jumping an astounding & incredible 6.21 meters! Duplantis will go
down as possibly the greatest track and field competitor ever when all is said and done. He is more dominant than Usain Bolt or any track athlete ever with countless world records and he is still very young. No one will ever break his world records!
Congrats again on yet another world record and yet another gold medal today at the 2022 World Championships of Track & Field!

I really wanted to give people here some more time to try and answer it. Here is a great video with your answers if you look closely. White Sprinters were so common back in history and more than held their own. They won so many gold medals. I notice
that Wikepedia loves to not show pictures of many if not most of the elite white sprinters from the past yet they show the black sprinters. Wikepedia is just another commie woke website. Hope you enjoy this video of so many great sprinters.

I knew the answer if you meant gold medal winning team but the 48' team might have had two White female sprinters but that team was dq'd so the runners aren't famous like medal winners. Yes this era is a mini golden age for White female sprinting. I noticed there are plenty Black Americans representing PR, Dominican Republic and other Caribbean countries but aside from Duplantis I don't recall any Whites representing ethnic homelands. A guy like Quinn could have instantly have been the fastest man in Ireland and would have been competing at world level meets wearing the Irish singlet.

Note you might have to prove your ethnicity within x generations and not have an ancestor from 2 centuries ago to become a citizen of Ireland or you may need to live in the country for x months a year, but more world class runners need to do this to appear at world level meets.

As for today Duplantis won the gold medal in the pole vault with a world record and American Chris Nilsen grabbed the silver. In the women's long jump a sexy White Brazilian snagged a bronze. Keely Hodgekinson snagged a silver in a duel down the stretch with Mu but didn't have the legs in the end to sneak through on the inside of the lane. She seems to be improving she may have Mu's number next year in Budapest. As I suspected Mayer was too good on day 2 and walked away with his second gold at the world level meet. Journeyman decathlete Zachary Ziemek grabbed a bronze at 29, it could be the pinnacle of his track career.

PS there was another world record today in the women's 100m hurdles but it seemed like everybody but the former world record holder had a pr or national record in that semifinal people are suspecting this might have been a malfunctioning wind gauge.

We are witnessing possbily the Greatest Mens Decathalete ever in the History of Track and Field! Kevin Mayer of France (World Record Holder) wins the gold medal again at the 2022 World Championships of Track & Field!

I have a trivia for the track nuts here on this board. When was the last time the USA had 2 white sprinters on a Womens 4 x 100 Relay Squad? It's been a very long time. See if anyone can find the answer to this.

Yes sir. Great job jacknyc. Now think about that for a few minutes? The United States was over a 90% whitepopulation even into the 1960's yet they went out of their way to find black sprinters to push their ultimate agenda of the worship
of everything black. It's been planned for longer than we've been alive. Just look at the 1956 Mens Olympic Team for the Sprints. Three of our four sprinters were white and Bobby Morrow won the 100 and the 200 meters along
with running the anchor leg of the gold medal winning 4 x 100 meters US Relay Squad. So just that Olympics along proves whites belong yet the white sprinters dissapeared mostly for the men and the women in America. Well maybe
just maybe it's because they didn't want to find them. They also started steering whites away from certain sports and certain speed events in track.

So yes 2022 has been epic at least from the womens sprints for America.

We also had other major breakthroughs. Who would have predicted an america born white guy(Trevor Cunningham) to win the silver medal at the World Championships in the 110 hurdles. We also had Bassit medal in the 400 meter hurdles to name just a few.

To me though the most important thing we need is for Boling to continue to progress and inspire more kids to try in high school, college and pro even against small odds. I'm all for them running for Europe if need be but we need more
white sprinters worldwide to snowball into an avalanche. Boling in my opinion will go beyond what Lemaitre and Guliyev did. Yes I'm that confident but we h ave to be patient. Not everyone can run fast at such a young age. Every human
develops at their own genetic rate and Boling like most which sprinters is taking a few years. That's the one thing Lemaitre and Guliyev had. Even as a teenager they could flat out fly!

what I took away from yesterdays events was this: Steiner on obviously tired legs still ran incredibly fast on her leg, the others basically treated her like an outcast afterwards especially Mcglouglin, yes Mcglouglin is insanely fast but is a moping little biatch most of the time. Hodkingson will take down Mu next season for sure. 1 of the USA's 4x400m relay runners chewing gum on the podium during the national anthem(so disrespectful) Norman seems to be a down to earth guy, rumour has it that Haase and Lukenkemper are gf's, sad to hear if true, Duplantis is the best ever but is a prima dona worse than Lavillnie lol Girl from Brasil is hot and won bronze in the LJ, Nilsen is built like a javelin thrower but agile as a cat, happy the Filipino kid got bronze in the PV, Amusan definitely on PED's inresting in how Degrasse comes back from finally so many Yamaican women with braces......

German Sprinter Deniz Almas ran a 10.16 wind legal today. Good to see but he needs to race more. Just like Wagner he is too inactive to hit his proper peak. Jan Volko in the same race ran a 10.23
which is a small step in the right direction. The European Champs are in Germany next month. I can't wait!

Britain has some great, young talents including Keely Hodgkinson who took silver in the women's 800m at the WC.

But 3 of their brightest young talents have been injury prone, and missed out on the WC.

*Charles Dobson who ran a 20.19 early this outdoor season. He seems to be the British version of Matthew Boling, as he can run any of the sprints from 100m to 400m.
Unfortunately, he is often injured, and has been most of this season as well.
*Amy Hunt, another amazing young sprinter. She's been on the brink of becoming a top level sprinter for several seasons, including this one, but tore her quad muscle and had to have surgery.
*Max Burgin. He has the fastest 800m time this year, and is an outstanding talent. But he missed the WC because of deep vein thrombosis (like a blood clot), and will also miss the upcoming Commonwealth Games.

All 3 of these youngsters could be top level stars if they can stay healthy.
Fingers crossed that they stay injury free and can reach their full potential.

Great post jacknyc and yes England is constistantly putting out high caliber world class track stars. Let's hope they can stay healthy in 2023. You can't blame it on age with any of them. They probably need more stretching, dietician and a good chiropractor
along with a good massage therapist.

Marek ZAKRZEWSKI is still the fastest guy in Poland under 20 years of age. As you guys know he won the 2022 European Under 18 Championships about a month ago. The 2022 European Under 20 Championships goes from August 1st August 6th. The
big question in Poland is whether they should have a 16 year old kid run in the individual 100 meters? Marek will be in the 4 x 100 Relay at minimum but his coach is considering having him run the 100 meters too. That would be cool to see this incredible
high school sprinter get an incredible experience going against adults. I hope they let him do this.

I was going to point out the Nigerian female had a possible HGH gut as she was showing a turtle shell like stomach which is a dead giveaway among bodybuilders or other athletes that have been abusing PED's for years.

I'm not even sure she is very marketable as she isn't easy on the eyes at all, and her blackness has nothing to do with it as Asher-Smith is reasonably good looking. So I don't see a marketing advertising campaign being focused around her like what Lolo Jones had (who never really won anything).

Deniz Almas runs at the fastest time since 2020 The German 100-meter champion of 2020 Deniz Almas (VfL Wolfsburg) set a clear new season best time on Monday in Eisenstadt (Austria) at the "Last Call to Munich" meeting. With 10.16 and 10.20 seconds he won both races in which he had started. For Deniz Almas, 10.16 seconds means the best 100-meter time since 2020 – in the past two years he ran 10.30 and 10.32 seconds. Well, what do you know . . . at a minor meet today in Sweden, Charles Dobson ran a 45.11 400m.
That makes him the 4th fastest European this season, and he basically hasn't even run this season.
Hoping to see more from him....but he has to stay healthy!!!

Yeah I had it wrong. I knew is goes from the Aug. 1st to 6th but it's the World Under 20 Championships. We will see what they decide but as far as Europe goes Marek is the fastest under 18 sprinter in all of Europe in the
100 meters and the 2nd fastest in the 200 meters. Yes that is for all of Europe all at the age of 16. Let's just hope he doesn't peak early like Kristoffer Hari.

The 16 year old Polish Sprinter Marek Z. will be in both the 100 and the 200 meters at the World Under 20 Championships. He is racing against men but the kid has no fear. It will be a good experience for him even though he has no chance of
winning due to his young age. Would be epic if he could break his personal bests over both distances.

Some interesting results from the heats of the Mens 100m at the World U20 (under 20 yrs old) Championships.

Tebogo of Botswana was the fastest in the heats with a Championship Record time of 10.00.
But the next 3 fastest times were by Asians:
Fahmi of Malaysia - 10.09
Boonson of Thailand - 10.20 (16 yrs old; we've talked about him before)
Yanagita of Japan - 10.24

The fastest European was Alessio Faggin of Italy (never heard of him before) - 10.25

16yr old Marek Zakrzewski of Poland ran 10.40, and qualified for the semi-finals.

Jai Gordon of Australia was looking good, until he pulled up with an injury towards the end of his heat.

I'm happily surprised to report that Rohan Browning ran 10.10 (0.9w) in the heats of the Commonwealth Games.

He has a shot to final with a time like as ever since the meets in Europe started paying the athletes the Commonwealth games don't get the best athletes in track and field anymore.

I recall the duels between Wells and Quarrie, Wells and Johnson in the sprints, now those type of sprinters usually pass on the "friendly games".
