Trey Cunningham USA 7.56s in the 60h for World number one

Matthew Boling USA World number one in the 200m and Long Jump.
He hit 8.25m on his second jump and passed the last four attempts. So an easy win for him to get to the 200m fresh and put down the leading time.

2019 European U20 200m champion Amy Hunt clocked a lifetime best of 7.24 in the 60m in Loughborough. She basically took last year off for the most
part. I think 2022 will be the year she explodes internationally as she gets accustomed to the competing in the senior level of the sprints now.

I was glancing at the All Time Best 60 Meters and 200 Meters Times ever run in history by women in the history of track & field.

To this day Irina Privalova still is the fastest women ever over 60 meters and the 2nd fastest ever over 200 meters indoors! That is amazing! She
is not talked about nearly as much as other female sprinters and her 10.77 outdoors is flat out flying as well. What a legend she was & still is!!

There are many european women on the all time lists towards the top but here is something exciting. Abby Steiner now has the 5th fastest indoor
200 Meters time ever run by any women and she is still in college. Hope she can move a little higher and then take that speed outdoors.

By comparison, Matthew Bolings 20.19 last year is the 6th fastest indoor 200 meters ever run in history! Hope he can move a little higher this year too as he is only a junior in college!

Speaking of bad luck. When Dafne Schippers ran her 10.81 in the Olympics it was into a negative wind. Turn that wind around and she is in the 10.70's
Club with only a handful of women ever.

that Abby Steiner must be an exceptional talent. Have to watch how she fares this season.
I remember too watching a once great 60/100/200 Privalova win the Sydney Olympics 400 hurdles. How that's for talent across the sprinting range. And she was a novice hurdler.
She reinvented herself as her speed started to diminish and with her power changed women's hurdles into the 21st century by implementing a 14 stride pattern

In reading the article about DelPonte's upcoming meet it was good to read that Hortelano will be competing in the mens 60m and is still clawing his way back from the severe hand injury from a few years back. Love watching him sprint! We'll see if Volko is progressing from last years efforts.

I'm not sure who Volko trains with or is trained by, but the last several years haven't been good. In 2017 10.15, 2018 10.13 and the last 3 seasons his best has been a 10.25. More often in the 10.30s.
His 200s were a very decent 2017 20.33, 2018 20.25 down to 20.60-20.75 for the last 3 years.

Whatever the cause , he has lost any speed endurance because his 60s have been pretty much the same for all 5 of these years at 6.55 to 6.58
Maybe he has the famed covid 19 lung damage (although that doesn't explain 2019)

Yes, I saw that Hortelano raced a week ago in Spain in the 60m.
His time was okay/average (6.74), but I was just glad to see that he was back on the track.

I love Hortelano but he is in his 30's now. I would be shocked if he ever ran as fast as he was about 4 years ago before the accident. What a shame. So sad as he
was one of the best talents over multiple distances in the world. Incredible speed and speed endurance before the major injuries.

18 yr old Italian, Angelo Ulisse, ran a 6.68 60m.
Never heard of him before. Perhaps a name to look for in the future.

22 year old Dominic Ashwell of Britain, ran a 6.65 60m.
Perhaps he is ready to go sub 10.20 this season.

Great Britain has had so many good white sprinting prospects over the last few decades. We saw Craig Pickering, Andy Robertson
and Richard Kilty to name a few that broke though and had modest success. Kilty came the closest running a wind legal 10.01 and
also going on become the worlds fastest man indoors running a winning time of 6.49 at the World Indoor Track & Field Championships!

Would love to see Dominic Ashwell and a few of the other guys step up the the level of the 3 guys I just mentioned. They are very close. I
do think that the competition in England in the Sprints is very heated with so many good sprinters. This can make or break some of the
other sprinters. You have to be not only talented, but equally an alpha male mentality to believe before you can acheive. Since the U.K
dropped the covid restrictions yesterday, maybe it will be a good year. The weather must make it really tough to train there. Of course most
or the european sprinters deal with the same problem as they usually have to fly somewhere to train before the season starts.

There will be 14 World Indoor Track Meets with the big stars in them in Europe. The first one is this weekend in England. Should be fun to

This is great news. He needs to get into the 6.50's on a consistant basis to run sub 10's outdoors. He is more of a closer in the sprints so with his top
end speed later in the race similar to guys like Lemaitre he won't need to be in the 6'40's. Once he runs 6.50 to 6.55 like clock work his 100 meter times
will go to anywhere from the low 10's or 10 flat to the sub 10's he will need to join the elite level. What a great season opener. Will post a video as soon as

she has the fire and drive to be the best. Watch this 19 year old sprint sensation by the name of Ivana Ilic!

Miltiadis Tentoglou is the Defending Olympic Gold Medalist and European Championship Gold Medalist. He is simply the best long jumper in the world. The big
question is can he rise to the level to eventually challenge the All Time World Record in the Long Jump? Time will tell but I like his chances and he has that swagger
about him and confidence along with the drive to potentially break the world record someday in the next 4 to 6 years!
