Gone are the days of the Patriots having a plethora of white playmakers on the offensive side making them perennial favourites here at CF.

Let's take a look at the 53 and see what positives or not there are.

The Patriots only look to start 4 whites this year not including specialists. It is a big disappointment the way the Patriots have trended and there isn't much depth to help improve that in the short term.

The only positives really are the quarter back position with Mac Jones the first round draft choice in 2021 is entrenched as the starter and Bailey Zappe the fourth rounder from 2022 looking good in preseason and the future back up with Brian Hoyer rounding out the quarter back room as the experienced coach on the field there to help their development.

Hunter Henry the tight end from the Chargers signed last season led the team in touchdowns last year with 9 and has excellent chemistry with Mac Jones and is a big threat in the red zone and moving the chains on third down.

David Andrews is a fixture at centre with Cole Strange a suprise but talented first round selection in this years draft the starter at left guard. James Ferrentz returns to the active roster this week as a solid back up for the three interior positions on the offensive line for 2022.

The pleasant surprise arguably is Brenden Schooler making the roster primarily as a special teams player and back up safety. He shone in training camp and preseason and looks like he has a bright future. Cody Davis kept his place as a special teams ace aswell.

No depth or representation at wide reciever and running back or any defensive positions other than safety!

Bill Murray an offensive line defensive line hybrid continues as last season on the practice squad along with Houston rookie centre Kody Russey who is probably next up for David Andrews in case of injury.

Tight end Matt Skol had a solid preseason and is probably the third tight end for the season starting on the practice squad.

Not much to cheer for really apart from Mac Jones and Hunter Henry. Let's see how the season develops see if they pick anyone up.

Thanks for the write up Woody and sorry to see what has happened to your favorite squad. Hard to believe that CF’s perennial favorite is now down to 12 White men on the 53 man roster. That’s the same amount as the Black Bears, who are a consistent villain here. I think it’s evident that Bill B is no genius and that the White friendly rosters that made his success possible was not in fact of his own doing. Maybe once Brady got established as the star QB, he was responsible for all of the White offenses they employed? Remember in the early Brady years, the Pats were as black as the league average. It was that 2nd run of excellence that we fondly remembered. Now it seems the Pats are back to that old formula, which Bill B had no issue with then or now.

My guess is that Belichick and especially owner Robert Kraft became embarrassed by all the ridicule the team received about its White receivers. As we know, the NFL is a "copycat" league except when it comes to anything that results in more Whites (as is society in every other way), and no other team copied that aspect of the team's success. The Vikings kind of did and the Rams are to a degree, but despite the large supply of capable White receivers available every year in spite of the Caste System the league will keep to its long established ways with outliers frowned upon.

But maybe Brady does deserve a lot of credit, too. Belichick's drafts are awful year after year, and post-Brady the organization is floundering with all reports saying the offense in the preseason was dysfunctional. And Belichick brought in Matt Patricia and Joe Judge to run the offense, another inexplicable move. Bill has become easy to dislike unfortunately.

Yes it really must be more about image than winning. The Pats could sign Cole Beasley or Alex Bachman today and start either of them at slot receiver tomorrow and it would instantly be an upgrade over the putrid wideouts they currently employ. That’s what the Pats 5-10 years ago would have done…..

I just want Mac Jones to be successful. The media will be gunning for him pretty soon. I am only now seeing articles written regarding the Patriots awful drafting record. We have once again been ahead of the curve by many years in calling them out. Being able to see the caste system for what it is and not being blinded by melanin=ability gives us an edge up on any other "experts", prognosticators or average fan that lacks critical thinking ability. Being able to view this whole charade of the caste system with a heightened sense of racial awareness is something we should all be proud of if you ask me.

It is a sad state of affairs what has happened. I struggle to understand why they have gone away from what made them a success, who knows whether it was Bradys influence or not that caused there to be so many whites at the Patriots at the time or not. The Bucs aren't exactly full of white talent.

Even if you are kind and say its purely a football decision to change their style away from a complex route tree system to a more straight forward speed based one as some analysts have said at this years training camp and to simply get faster.....We all know here that our guys can run with the best of them and more if you look at the holy grail of 40 times etc. Plus just because you can run 4.3 doesn't mean you can be as good as Welker, Edelman et al at changing direction etc it's not track and field its football.

Sitting in last place after three weeks with the division's worst offense, Belichik the genius is opting to start his former high school classmate, future assistant coach, and caste cuck extraordinaire Brian Hoyer in place of the injured Mac Jones. Still on the bench is Bailey Zappe, the FBS single season record holder in passing yards and passing touchdowns. As a fourth round pick, his pro experience is closely mirroring former Patriots fourth round pick Jarrett Stidham, who was given all of 48 passing attempts in his three years with New England. Stidham was traded quite cheaply to Las Vegas at the request of the Raiders' new coach Josh McDaniels, who obviously saw something that Bill didn't.

Hoyer keeps the white starter count at four this week, but I'll be happy if they keep losing until Jones gets healthy.

Jones, btw, is asking for a second opinion on his "severe high ankle sprain" after the Patriots team doctor recommended surgery. Disagreements with the medical staff are a big reason why Gronkowski and Brady are ending their careers in Tampa Bay and not New England. Food for thought.

The Patriots have signed WR Raleigh Webb to the 53 off of the Ravens PS. Let's see if they plan to use him at all or he's just a WSTD or bench ornament.

Despite that, NE only has 12 White men on their active roster and 3 of them are the specialists. Sad.

The Genius returning for another season of likely disappointing results now that he has a "woke" way of putting a team together:

It was an uncharacteristic season for Belichick, who seemed intent on botching year two of Mac Jones' development. Following offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels' departure, he never replaced him. Instead, he ultimately leaned on former defensive coordinator and Lions head coach Matt Patricia. That, somehow, went even worse than expected, with Jones literally screaming at his coaches on the sidelines on multiple occasions. Per ProFootballTalk, when Belichick was asked if Jones would be the Patriots' quarterback in 2023, he said, "Mac has the ability to play quarterback in this league." Given Belichick's all-time resume, 2022's mistakes will be quickly forgotten if the team bounces back in 2023. However, the Patriots have some big decisions to make about their path forward on offense.

Be an interesting off season for the Patriots. They have a lot of cap space and will probably release a number as well. Be interesting if he goes back towards the successful model of the late Brady years of undervalued white gems or not. Not holding my breath at all though.

Would think we resign Meyers but other than that the whole receiver tight end position could be in flux and running back with Harris a free agent. Not much solid under contract other than arguably Parker and obviously under utilised Hunter Henry in offensive pieces although he has been used more recently.. Maybe Charlie Jones to the Patriots and one of Sam La Porta or Dalton Kincaid at tight end is the answer to our woes!

The O’Brien we saw at Penn State was fairly White friendly compared to version we saw as the Texas coach. I wonder if he had a “woke epiphany” or if there were other forces (organizational or other) that forced his hand to field a team more fitting of Grambling. I guess we’ll see what version we get at NE, but with the roster composition already resembling his Texans’ squads, I doubt he could make the team worse.

Belichick only considered coaches he had prior connections with, so O'Brien is probably the best of the lot.

Back in 2016 a black Texans offensive linemen raised his first during the anthem. O'Brien interpreted that as an attack on the military, police, and firefighters, so he's probably a cuckservative.

I think his later heavily black teams were in at least in part due to the franchise being in the racial doghouse after Bob McNair made his strange "inmates running the prisons" comment.
