Since 2006 LSU has started 7, 6, 4, 5, 5, 4, 6, 5, 4, 3, 4, 5, 3, 3, 4 and 5 whites. It looks to be around 5 this year.
Notre Dame HC Brian Kelly takes over LSU, complete with a fake southern accent. He has incumbent QBs Myles Brennan and Garrett Nussmeier competing with a quota for the starting QB, but it seems like Brennan should hold onto it.
Like Georgia, this is a pretty dark team with some very talented and interesting white players, including at forbidden positions. In fact, the positions of the starters and back ups are almost identical to this year's UGA team, with whites at QB, TE, WR and OL, and contributors at LB and S.
WR Jack Bech is a full time WR this year after being listed as a TE last year. Fully has the makings of an NFL player. True freshman WR Landon Ibieta may get a shot to back him up. Bech is a stud whose one hand catches last year made major media airwaves. Joining him is Kole Taylor or Jack Mashburn at TE. Kelly loved his TEs at Notre Dame so hopefully they make an impact. True Freshman Will Campbell is projected as a starter at LT! He has a chance to potentially develop into a top 10 draft pick. Garrett Dellinger has been moving around the OL and may start at center.
On defense, no starters but sophomore FS Matthew Langlois and Virginia transfer LB West Weeks could cement back up roles. I see starting potential in the future for both. Weeks' brother is also a LB and a commit in the 2023 class for LSU.
Offense -
QB - Myles Brennan
WR - Jack Bech
TE - Kole Taylor or Jack Mashburn
LT - Will Campbell
C - Garrett Dellinger *in a battle for position
Defense -
None
Notable back ups include QBs Walker Howard and Garrett Nussmeier, TEs Mason Taylor and Nick Storz, WR Landon Ibieta, LB West Weeks, and FS Matthew Langlois.
