The Penguins notably decided to re-sign Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang to multi-year contracts this summer rather than let them go the free agent route. Those two along with Sidney Crosby are now in their 17th season together with Pittsburgh, which ties the Yankees trio of Jeter, Rivera and Posada for the longest run with a franchise in one of the four major pro sports leagues. Given their contracts there's a decent chance they'll run it to 20 before one or more of them retires or is let go.

My preference was to see Malkin and Letang leave, but needless to say I'll be very happy if it works out. The Pens are now the oldest team in the NHL but they've looked super-spry in the first two games of the new season, winning by identical scores of 6-2 over Arizona and Tampa, putting over 100 shots on net, many of them high quality. Of course it's only two games and the NHL season and post-season is a very long grind, so we'll see how they hold up.
 
That is a remarkable achievement. Even more so In hockey given the physical nature of the game. Look forward to the season getting going

I remember when an informal union of non White players banded together and demanded x jobs for non Whites in the front office and the NHL said it wasn't going to do it and now this lady and her agenda is getting the green light?

My assumption is the nhl league office is every hit as woke and repugnant as the nfl or the nba or baseball. The only difference being that there are many fewer blacks in the sport itself and the crowd is still very white. I’m not sure how they could make hockey more vibrant and still have it be the same game but no doubt they will try. The (((commissioner )))looks like a character from a horror film.

They still push pride days and other bs on us.

It’s really hard to be a fan of any pro or most college sports right now but practically speaking I think this one is unlikely to be a big deal.
If the nhl goes much further I’ll just have to abandon that one too.
 
No surprise. We've called how they were coming for Nascar and NHL 10+ years ago. Anything too White must be erased.

The AZ Coyotes will be playing their home games at Arizona State University for the next 3 years. They are supposed to vote on building them a brand new stadium right near Tempe Town Lake. This is a smart move for the Coyotes as Glendale did not treat them well in their
time out there. They had their first home game last night and the crowd was loud and full of energy.

Why can’t the league pay for the construction of the new arena? It’s not like a firm would ever be able to ask the public to build them an office building, right?

Perhaps an imperfect analogy but it seems to me the league has more than enough money to build an arena if they want to. Oh, and if they did pay for it, they’d be much less likely to just abandon the town as well.

They've cracked the code. Have the suckers aka taxpayers pay the cost and they'll gladly do it if the advertising is good enough!
 
I’m sure the arena they build will be great but i for one would love to see the taxpayers of Arizona tell the league to pay up or take a walk!

Nhl : you know what we need? A stadium in arizona that you can pay for and if we decide to abandon you, we will be nice enough to let you keep paying for

I find a fair amount of irony in Phil Kessel becoming the NHL's all-time "iron man," as he recently played in a league record 990th straight game.

I've always liked Kessel; he's a unique, fun-loving kind of guy in an era of rigid conformity and blandness among White athletes and Whites in general. He's very fast despite his roly poly appearance and has a deadly shot, and he helped the Penguins win the Stanley Cup in '16 and '17.

But -- he's also the softest hockey player I've ever seen. He never checks opponents and avoids being checked himself at all costs. So, he's had great longevity in large part because he avoids physical contact like the plague, to the point that his softness has made him an all-time "iron man," thus the irony. But he does deserve credit for staying healthy all this time in spite of his style of play, as there's way too many athletes who are seemingly semi-permanently injured.

This just shows how out of touch the league and their jewish commissioner are with the fanbase. I don’t know any hockey fan who’s clamoring for this type of degeneracy. Maybe a small percentage of shitlib fans in Seattle? But like everything else, the Cultural Marxism push has been entirely top down.

I don’t know if boycotting will do any good as these mega corporations are “too big to fail” and profits comes 2nd to pushing (((their))) harmful ideology on the goyim.
 
If you refuse to buy products from a company who wants to force an agenda on you that you don’t support it is good for your soul to do so. If enough people do it there can be meaningful impact, but even if not, at least your own conscience is clean. Like I hate proctor and gamble so I try to avoid buying their products as much as I can. Does it do anything? No, but I feel better that I’m not paying them. Same thing w Starbucks. Their ceo is a (((dick))) and so I never support them if I can. More people have gone that way lately and they are definitely feeling it.

Why boycott the NHL of all leagues? The players are 95% White and mostly still exemplify the admirable White values of hard work and unselfish play to go along with their talent. Boycott the league and you're hurting the players. I could care less if some green-haired, 300 pound womyn in the front office tweeted a typical woke idiotic statement. Wokeness goes with the territory in everything, every single large corporation goosesteps in unison to cultural communism including sports leagues, a single virtue signaling tweet isn't going to affect my enjoyment of the NHL in the least.
