Taysom gets a start at QB. Looks a bit rusty, to be expected. Dallas hasn't done squat either though in 1st quarter.

what caused Taysom’s interception?

what caused Taysom’s interception?

A really good play by the defender, seemed like he was out of bounds but he managed to stay in bounds and not bobble the ball.

Hill has done really well so far given what he has to work with.

Hill with six straight rushes...

Great to see but Payton needs to not be predictable.

Just about had a big pass there... a little low but receiver should have had it. And he is doing all this coming off an injury and hamming his middle finger.

Taysom should have been a star in this league... who know maybe he still can be?

Taysom can't catch a break lately ...splint on throwing middle finger ! NICE 24 Yard Run! Has made some nice throws despite the injury.

Michael Thomas is out all season; Chris Hogan retired; Kenny Stills has been struggled mightily and very few WR's have stepped it up. Need to call Saints office tomorrow and tell them to call Trey Quinn who's waiting for the phone to ring from less than 190 miles away. He is healthy again!

Refs horrible blocking call on TE Garrett Griffin is a drive killer!

Terrible safety play by the Saints... pathetic effort on Pollards long run for the touchdown.

Agreed, a dearth of talent in New Orleans with all the injuries/guys out.

Hill is dynamic.

So is Pete Werner... the defense is better with him in the field.

Taysom Hill with a Lamar Jackson like game. Effective running but wheels came off passing the ball. With the shoddy cast of characters around him, he’s going to have to be better, as this is likely his last shot to be anything more than a gadget player.

Hill was constantly pressured thanks to a porous o-line, his receivers are a joke other than the fact that the guy who had the long TD catch can run fast when he isn't dropping passes, and he was playing with a splint on the middle finger of his throwing hand after it banged off the helmet of a Cowboys player in the first half. That was about as good as could be expected under the circumstances, though a couple of the picks were pretty bad.

it’s almost to the point of hatred with Sean Payton...
Hill should have been the starter from the get go; instead, Payton jerks him around, so he can run his little trick plays, and pat himself on the back, ends up getting the man injured..

Then you suit him up, but don’t play him for three games(all losses), while the offense flounders.

Now backs against the wall at 5-6, you finally put hill in to presumably save the season, and decide to call 45 passing plays??? Talk about setting the guy up to fail... where was the Jameiz Winston playbook (Run heavy game plan with about 20 throws)? What happened to that? Some offensive genius.... he clearly owes his career to Drew Brees..

Not to mention He probably could have talked Brees into returning for another season or two had he grew a pair and stood up for him when the rest of the football world threw him under the bus.

In other words. Expect the media to tear his performance apart. "See we told you he's just a gadget player and not a real QB". Sigh.

I wonder how much more time the media will spend on Hill than they did on Lamar Jackson’s performance last week.

I caught the first half of the game before falling asleep. Hill looked good to me. His finger was hampering him. As @Don Wassall and @Upside already mentioned Hill had a lot of factors not in his favor - first game starting as a qb this year, a piss poor collection of talent, bad play calling etc.

Fans are pretty divided. Some are tearing him apart but the dude hurt his finger and it's kind of hard to throw with a freaking splint on your finger. Brees missed 4 games with something similar. I think it's on Payton. The gameplan should have been to utilize his running ability from the start, and he didn't start doing that until his finger was hurt. A bs penalty stalled a drive and led Dallas to score otherwise I think it's a much different game. I don't think Hill is as good playing from a deficit but could be a better Lamar Jackson. There were like 6 or 7 dropped passes and a missed fg as well

My main issue with Hill is his age. He’s 31 already - only a few games of starting experience and a playing style that does not lend itself to longevity. I thought he should have been the starter from day 1 this season. If Hill has to miss time due to his finger injury I would like to see Ian Book get some starts - his playing style and abilities line up with the short/intermediate passing game of the Saints but he also has the ability to run and make plays with his legs when needed.

Predictably. Cowturd is ripping Hill as a Gadget player. That was too easy to predict.

Last week with Jackson and his 4 INTs against The Browns Cowturd say d this "Baker would have lost by 30 if he threw 4 INTS! Jackson's team won"

Idk what Hill's future is at QB, but take out the Caste System and he should be a starting NFL RB! But he's White.

Yes, everybody’s piling on declaring Taysom is “not a quarterback.” Maybe it is a sincere assessment, but there is a double standard. Guys like Jalen Hurts, Terrelle Pryor, Slash, or any other black athlete get a lot more time to fail.

At the very least Saints need to give Hill 10-15 carries a game rest of this season, as long as his body can handle it.
No denying his rushing ability.

If healthy Hill should be the starting QB. He was preparing most of this season as a gadget player or he was injured.

I’ve had to tune out these talking heads - they are a bunch of yapping yentas that have opinions that change and will totally contradict themselves - zero accountability. I think they are worse than the draft “experts” because all of these talking heads just fill the air with their opinions on a daily basis - every day they banter for hours like women about sports.
