2021 Track Season Results

That's really sad news for Jack Hale and Hana Basic. Also for the Relay Teams. It would have been the experience of their life to go to the Olympics. Maybe this will help them to refocus and work that much
harder to qualify for the World Championships in a year or two and the next Olympics. My fear is that Hale and others might give up athletics. I hope he sticks with it. Everyone develops at their own rate. He
showed his talent as a teenager. I still think he has a chance but he has to be really down right now.

Great news about Riley Day. She seems ready to compete with the best in Australia. Maybe is she is allowed she can race a few times in Europe.

Gotta say that I was impressed with Shae Anderson’s run in the 4x400m, she got the baton well behind the 2 sprinters ahead of her, she closed like a freight train only to run out of gas in the stretch, she held on valiantly to finish a very strong 3rd. She would have done very well in the 400m most likely 2nd or 3rd in a sub 51. Nobody was going to catch Ating. Hope she does well next year in both the 400m and 400mh.

Many of these guys are not in the right racing shape. Even Nazarov who has a 10.20 p.b. finished 2nd to Larsen. It's sad as we are 1 month till the olympics and many of our sprinters will not qualify. If you saw how bad many
places in Europe are with the lockdowns, covid madness, you would understand. Even in tennis at the French Open they have curfews every night. So stupid. The ruling powers have gone crazy.

I agree, I live in Communist Canada and the powers that be are freaking crazy. All our masters track meets cancelled, yet our top level people/athletes travel all over the world meet to meet with no restrictions. Interestingly enough Sweden has be open the whole time yet their sprinters are awful, makes no sense....

That is true. Sweden was one of the very few countries in the world to not lock down. They should have had a normal training schedule for the most part.

It's bleak as far as white sprinters go in Europe. Our fastest guy is an Italian not named Tortu. All of our guys are struggling and some are missing in action. It's gonna be a weird
Olympics. The Asians however are going to put on a show lighting up the track. I think our guys will get faster as the summer goes on but it won't be in time to qualify for the individual
100 meters where the time is 10.05. I hope I'm wrong as I reot for all of our white male & female sprinters world wide!

Real pity about Lemaitre. To have run 9.92 aged 20 with limited French training in his hometown, he had the world at his feet. His top end speed was reminiscent of Fahnbulleh - he just used to come scything through the field in the last 60m. Unfortunately his personality was typically French, and he was afraid to leave home and step up by training with elite athletes and coaches. Probably wanted his mommy to make his snails for breakfast every morning. Really makes me sad to think what he could have done if he'd fully grasped his potential.

an interesting side note in your list above W/L ...... number 18, 17 year old Tomas Dvorak's coach and dad is also Tomas Dvorak, 3 times world champion decathlete and WR holder only 6 points shy of 9,000 pts.
If anyone can guide young Tomas to do what would seem to be his best event it could be his old man

yes, a great real world improvement of 0.2sec. I mentally don't give our female sprinters a pass till they reach 11.30. That's the level they need to be at consistently to at least be a relay member.

These were our relay stocks leading up to the Sydney Olympics. Nothing like that this century and so our women's 4 x 100 remains at high 42s after a quarter of a century

I agree as do most of us on this board. Compare that to what Ramil Guliyev acheived after having his dad(his dad was also his life long coach) pass away, missing over a year of track as he had to change the country he runs for, and other personal battles
that I won't go into. Guliyev is as mentally tough as any sprinter out there. He still has run a 10.25 this season and I believe in his old age he will go faster. He won't break his personal bests anymore unless he starts to
have the breakfast that 40 year old Gatlin has. What a joke to still run sub 10's at middle age and we are to believe he is clean. Gatlin has been busted a couple of times. I hate cheats. So bad for the sport.

this is our women's team who missed qualifier by 0.07 unfortunately - but I was quite impressed with how they ran, especially 17 year old Taylah Cruttenden on lead off (second from outside).
43.11 is our 2nd best time ever so it augurs well for the next few years if these girls stick it out

I remember watching his dad. I have always loved the Decathalon and Tomas Dvorak was one of the top 5 Greatest Decathletes that I have had the pleasure to watch.

I didn't notice how young his son was. Wouldn't it be exciting if he had the talent in the sprints that his father had in the Decathalon? Time will tell but yes he is in good hands
with his legend of a father coaching him!

Watched the 800m women race, the U20 girl looks good, beat Mitchell easily. Someone needs to tell Morgan Mitchell to lean out abit as she looks far to bulky to be a top notch 800m runner.

Andrea Dallavalle, 21 yrs old of Italy, jumped a European leading 17.35 in the triple jump today.
That puts him #3 on this season's world list.
Finally a triple jumper to root for!

I don't know where it happened, but Mary Beth Price (Sant) ran a PB 11.15!
With that wind legal time, she is now qualified to compete at the Olympic Trials.
Congratulations to her!

Mary Beth Price Sant is reporting that she improved her PB to 11.08.
Again, like above, I can find no confirmation for this, but I do know that she will be competing at the Olympic Trials.

Awesome news about Mary Beth Price Sant. It's strange how it's so hard to find videos of her races. Man can she fly and especially even more so for her short height!

Does Ramil Guliyev have some competition from a fellow teammate? Maybe so.

25 year old Ertan Ozkan ran a 10.31 into a negative 3.3 wind. That is a legitimate time I'm guessing equating to around a 10.15 but I don't have the conversion tool. Good news!

Just a small amount of guys and there are others but I wanted to just post this for now. Again these guys have to be able to have a very fast turnover ratio even
with the wind in order to run that fast. Easier said than done. All of these sprinters have alot of talent! Of these 5 only Rohan Browning has the automatic
qualifying time for the Olympics with his wind legal 10.05 +1.5 at the Australian Championships.
